ATTENTION USERS ON THIS NETWORK edit

Your edits on wikipedia from this office are reflective of every user in this office. DO NOT wipe pages on Wikipedia. There have been two such wipings within the past week, and two strikes against the IP. One more strike will lead to this office being banned from Wikipedia. This is a tool we all need to use. For the sake of your fellow coworkers, DO NOT wipe pages on Wikipedia.

Welcome edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. PDCook (talk) 13:00, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Organization trying to blank their own page? edit

When a simple 'whois' query is ran on this ip, it shows up as an internet connection run by the amateur athletic union in orlando fl. For some reason they keep editing their own page and trying to remove all the data about them. I would suggest an admin take a look at this and possibly ban this repeat offending IP from accessing wikipedia altogether. (The below is the only way I know how to get an admin's attention):{{editprotected}} 71.52.12.250 (talk) 02:55, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The correct way to handle this is to warn the user and if this doesn't work report them to WP:AIV. However in this case, there was just one unhelpful edit on 6 July which has not been repeated. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:15, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
