Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Your edits to the cast of X-Men (film) have been reverted because they do not follow the guidelines at MOS:FILMCAST. Specifically, the ordering of the cast list should match the order of the credits in the film, and the character names should match the credits of the film. Thanks.   Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Grandpallama (talk) 03:12, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi 100.17.31.228! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of X-Men (film) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:X-Men (film), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 02:30, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hello, I'm Pickersgill-Cunliffe. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to X-Men (film)—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Edit warring at X-Men (film) and other pages

edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Per a complaint at the edit warring noticeboard. EdJohnston (talk) 21:22, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at X-Men (film). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please stop trying to push through your changes to the above article. You've been reverted on the grounds that your edits don't reflect the credits, and given the multitude of warnings you've received, you should be editing more carefully by now. EdJohnston, could you have another look at this IP? They've resumed the edit warring at both X-Men (film) and X2 (film) for which you blocked them in February. Their overall edit history suggests a static IP, so a lengthier block should not adversely affect any other editors. Thanks. Grandpallama (talk) 20:43, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for edit warring and failure to communicate

edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

In your entire career you have never posted to a talk page. It appears that most of your changes have been reverted by others. This block might be lifted if you will engage in discussions and wait for consensus before making any controversial changes. EdJohnston (talk) 00:04, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you always edit without using an edit summary. Please always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 19:30, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
