Speedy deletion of Olivamine

edit

A tag has been placed on Olivamine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Dekisugi (talk) 16:15, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: The article was tagged by Dekisugi, but was actually deleted by Nyttend. The earlier version of the article you created by deleted by Trusilver. The deletion log shows that the article was deleted due to it being blatant advertising, most likely due to the tone used in the article. You will have to ask the two other admins for their exact reasons why it was deleted. Before you attempt to recreate the article, I recommend that you review the Business' FAQ. Your use of the word "we" indicates to me that you have some connection with the company and therefore you should be careful with your edits about the product due to a conflict of interest. Should you do decide to recreate the article, I recommend that you provide citations for as many third-party sources as you can provide. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:44, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Dekisugi (talk) 16:15, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
