Revision of World Record

Your addition of content specific to India in the article lead amounted to excessive prominence on two different fronts: India constituting half of the article lead; many Indian athletes with relatively minor world records named in an article that in no way intends to become a comprehensive directory of every world record ever attained.

By all means continue to participate, but do but learn to recognize the boundaries of balance and notable information.

I am myself a big fan of Indian culture. I've looked at the linguistic history of all the Indian languages, I prepare Indian cuisine as major part of my regular diet, I listen to Indian music, and I'm aware that Southeast Asians are the wealthiest demographic in America, above both whites and Chinese. (I am myself actually Canadian, which explains why I knew five times as much about the larger world to begin with.)

There are thousands of articles on Wikipedia where Indian and people of Southeast Asian heritage do not get as much prominence as they deserve. You could choose to become that editor. But it will take thousands of small, judicious edits rather than dumping a bunch of Indian names the first place they seem to fit.
