It's a fascinating subject, I'd be happy to discuss it. Perhaps you'd like to work on the article? I started it but it needs much, much more expert attention than I can provide.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  22:23, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Form based authentication

edit

A tag has been placed on Form based authentication, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

no real content, no sources cited

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Sánchez Get to know me! / Talk to me!←at≈:→ 03:46, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so I had a pretty fully-fleshed out page crafted this afternoon pacific time, and had to go do other stuff, and when I came back to it (ready to do initial [save page], effin Firefox crashed and I lost the entire thing. I only had time to re-do a placeholder, and had to go do other things (family stuff ya know), and so to not loose where I was, did a save page, wondering how long it'd take for someone to squawk that the page was very incomplete. Now I know... ;)

I'm endeavoring to more fully flesh it out tonight, will finish up tomorrow, US Pacific Time.

thanks,

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited HTTP Strict Transport Security, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages SSL and TLS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request: Commenting on Article for Deletion (Nok Nok)

edit

I noticed that you've edited the FIDO Wikipedia article and had a request. I created an article for Nok Nok Labs, but am now encountering some folks who want to delete the article as they don't think Nok Nok Labs is significant enough for a Wikipedia page. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nok_Nok_Labs. If you have an opinion, would you please share your viewpoint? Unfortunately not many of the commenters are familiar with FIDO and authentication. Note that while I wrote the article, I am not a NNL employee. Thank you for considering. --Cryptodd (talk) 21:11, 10 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Form-based authentication

edit

The article Form-based authentication has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article makes as much sense as Wrench-based plumbing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
