Super Bowl odds

It's taken me hours just to enter the odds on 2/3 of the Super Bowls so far. If I have to go back to all those, I'll have to give up.

Re: NFL Lore

Thanks for pointing that out, and please let me point out something else from Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages The most common reason is when a page name is misspelled, or wrongly capitalized. Please fix any and all of those as you see them. That page was wrongly capitalized. I saw it. I fixed it. A Merge Proposal in a case like that is overkill, and against Be Bold. Any problems with GFDL can be solved with a note in the Edit Summary noting the old page name in the case it was in so people have a way to see the old page. I'll add that to the If that fails section of the Merging page to avoid any problems with GFDL. Karmafist 05:51, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

Not to mention WTHR and WRTV could had swapped affliations carrying Charlie the Disco Dog in 1979 is mentioned, but this is from an unknown news report regarding ABC and the show, probably from The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Associated Press, Indianapolis Star, newspapers in the Tampa Bay areas, and Raleigh, NC News & Observer, whoever is the delusional editor, could get in trouble. *Msg left by 65.54.154.11 (talk • contribs)

Yes, I did read them, But I do not know what the exact time, when reports came in, all I said was September 1974, this is the only information I have! and I was not there in my own time in 1974.

What are you trying to do, User:Zzyzx11, (also refer to your real name) Are you trying to accuse the American Broadcasting Company and several news organizations of covering up exact dates and times of unknown reports? That would be an tragedy. - Several news organziations could had gone ahead to publish the story leaking the name of the network and character or that ABC decided to leak the name of the cartoon dog character, Charlie and the music term, "disco", or they did not tell the other news editors about it.

He's too obscure than being well-known.

No one told me this show does not exist on Google and IMDB, except Jeff Schiller, Amcaja and Ezhiki which I have gived up the discussion with them.

I was even blocked of creating some articles relating to him, probably more than three times. Look, I did not say the little-talking dog was an rock singer, he is a cartoon character. No one can think outright of banning the obscure character and blaming the American Broadcasting Company and several news organizations, including the New York Times. I quit.

• How many times do I have to tell you about Charlie the Disco Dog? Please give us specific times and dates of your sources so that I or any other editor can go to our local public library's newspapers and periodicals department, look it up in their databases and microfiche, and look it up ourselves. Block this user from Wikipedia

'I don't have any of my own sources dating back to the mid to late 1970s, and that he or she is still trying to demand exact dates and times, where I did get my own sources from the show? Should I give him the source, when it started when Nixon was fired? No, I don't have any 1970s calendars. ABC and the New York Times could get in trouble, including newspapers in few cities I quoted.

Minnesota Vikings

Regarding my removal of the "Sex Scandal" chapter of the Minnesota Vikings page, I believe this type of journalism is best left out of NFL team pages. I believe it only encourages fans of rival NFL franchises to add more negative information about teams they don't like. If we want to add a chapter on player transgressions to every NFL team, I believe the Cowboys and Packers sites could use a few updates as well. How about the Mark Chmura hottob incident with teenage girls or Michael Irvin in a hotel room with cocaine and women? Anyway, I think you see my point.

Branden Robinson

You removed the Branden Robinson page that I created, claiming that "this does not really assert why this developer is important or significant in relation to any other developer".

Branden is incumbent of the office of Debian Project Leader; I think that makes him "significant" enough. I agree that the page was rather small, and could've included more information, but I ran out of time and wanted to complete it at a later time. You didn't give me the chance...

They're already in an order of north-south bridges from west to east, then east-west bridges from north to south. The purpose of the template is to easily organize the eight bridges, by linking to each in a convienient place. Charlie Dog again

I don't have any ideas this time now. But I am still being told to stop talking about Charlie Dog again and again, which is driving me crazy, he only asked an dumb question is where did I get my own ideas from.

Your opinion seems to be "lost in space", not based upon anything. You're comparing it to the deletion policy which is about deleting articles. Bears

Regarding former homes, what do you think about listing one-use sites, such as Chicago Stadium for the 1932 championship game, or Dyche Stadium for opening day in 1969? Wahkeenah 23:26, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

It probably was 1970. I couldn't recall. I would have checked for sure first. The Bears were looking around for a suitable new home, because no matter how many bodies they stuffed into Wrigley, it was still short of the 50,000 that the NFL decreed as the minimum standard around that time. Hence the migration to Soldier Field. They even took the old East Stand temporary bleachers and made them into a North Stand at the lakeside stadium. This was around the time the Bears went 1-13 and lost the rights to Terry Bradshaw to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who also went 1-13. In fact, I think the Bears' only win that year came against the Steelers. Ah, nostalgic memories. Right. Wahkeenah 05:29, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

I am pretty sure it was the opening game of 1970 vs. Philadelphia, won 20-16 or some such. They went 6-8 that year, not too bad considering they were 1-13 in 1969. Wahkeenah 01:05, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

Because IPs are constantly changing I am very hesitant to block and would rather protect the page. about Pentium Pro logo

I just noticed that you deleted the Pentium Pro logo sometime ago with the help of the new deleted edits browser. Anyway, Pentium Pro is a different processor from Pentium I and it had a small difference in the logo too. Oldvfd template

I'm cleaning up references to {{oldvfd}}, replacing them with {{oldafdfull}} and basically hoovering up the mess left behind following a deletion attempt. I notice that you have listed this article on User:Zzyzx11/AT with a note to "always subst". Please don't SUBST this template, for two reasons:

• it makes it very difficult to do what I'm doing, because the trace-back is destroyed
• it clutters up the talk page with stuff that people don't really need to see in edit-mode

Recent Edits Deleted for "advertising"

Adding articles pertaining to the subject matter is not advertising (ie the Buck Rogers article, the Automan article, subjects that have little to no coverage on the net that the site in question researched extensively, albeit with a humorous slant.) Using Wiki for advertising would be more along the lines of Progressiveboink's self-written bio page which they event went so far as to link as a "feature" on their main page, claiming that they are the continuation of Whatever-Dude.com, when none of their writers were on Whatever-dude.com staff when the site went out of business. I added a few links to pre-existing pieces that added additional info to the articles in question. Reply Re: Recent Edits Deleted for "advertising"

In regards to the fact that the site in question has already been used on Wikipedia in the same fashion without it being questioned seems to indicate that some on Wiki staff have no problem with the content, especially when it purtains to a subject that already has a limited amount of information available as it is, such as the aforementioned television shows. Movie reviews, I can see those being superfluous, even though IMDB also links to this very same website for reviews on films rarely, if ever, reviewed by mainstream sites such as rotten tomatoes. But take, for instance, the site's online tours of Disney parks. The webmaster purports to be a former Disney castmember, and provides information in those articles not made readily available my Disney's own sites, nor anywhere else on the web, including sites like Pouse Planet... tips on what to see and what to miss, what rides are age appropriate, pricing structures, vacation packages, and the like that aren't presented or spun by a Disney-owned website. Those articles are one of the major draws that the site in question is known for, and has received numerous accolades from sites like XE and Fark.

Well you're not going to find a review of the site because the only writers who write reviews of E/N sites are the E/N site owners themselves (Progressiveboink's Wikipedia page being a perfect example.) The site in question was founded by one of the star writers from Whatever-dude.com after it went down in 2004. Whatever-dude.com was itself a highly popular site and an offshoot of X-Entertainment, one of the most visited E/N style sites on the web. The new site (well, it's over a year old now, but still considered the new guy on the block E/N/ site wise) is regularly linked on Fark, alldumb, and other such "best of the web" style sites. Besides which, saying that a source of information is superfluous because one hasn't heard of it is a statement of pure ignorance. When you walk into a Barnes and Noble, you're surrounded by thousands of works by authors you've never heard of. If all we ever bought were books by authors we'd heard of, the advancement of modern fiction would end as soon as the current generation of authors died.

besides which, one of the examples you give of a "worthy" site, (for no other reason than because you've heard of it) IMDB links to the site in question for reviews of relatively unknown films it hasn't covered; one example that comes to mind being a z-flick called "The Adventures Of Young Van Helsing."

But you're right. You shouldn't invest time in websites you haven't heard of. In fact, feel free to never use Google again, since there will clearly never be a need for you to find new websites, since the ones you've already heard of are the only ones of merit. Of course, I only heard of Wikipedia a few weeks ago...
