Willanch

Hi,

I'm trying to format the IPA on WP. A couple years ago at Annie Miner Peterson you added what might have been IPA for the village of Willanch, Wu'leˈ'ntq. Or is that the Coos orthography? — kwami (talk) 10:46, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, you mean these changes. I have no idea! This is how it is printed in the reference I used, on page 153. Wu-curly quote-le-straight quote-curly quote-ntq. Like I said in my comment, I need help! I don't know what the marks should be called, or if the typesetter is using actual diacritical marks or what! It's a popular work, part of the Oregon Literature Series, not a scholarly one, so I don't know how accurate it is. Here is a transcription of the original text, written in 1939, which renders it as "wu'le"ntc". Sorry I can't be more help. Thanks for trying to fix this. Lower White River Wilderness

Hi, Val. You made changes to Lower White River Wilderness a while ago, and I want to answer your question. No, not all of those activities are available at all wildernesses. For example, there might be a wilderness without a fishing spot. MetaCow (talk) 23:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Tagging

Redirects I'm just tagging pages that don't have tags--it's nothing specific to Oregon-related articles or to redirects. If you want, I can add |class=redirect to the tags to mark them as redirect-class articles. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:46, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

I think we'd rather not have the tags at all. Is there a mandate that all pages must have tags now, including redirects? Valfontis (talk) 22:50, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Dee

I really want to start a music store here. Except I can't even tap a beat. And you have a poor word choice in this- surprising for you! tedder (talk) 06:34, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Ohhh. I get it. Hee hee. I thought I had several poor word choices in that Dee article, trying to work with what was added (which frankly, I swear on my WP:OWN, I would rather delete). Ugh. Then I checked your link. I can't see the poor word choice--point it out to me? Nice way to welcome me back, nitpicker! But I hope you are well! Sorry I never write. P.S. In your travels to Hood River County, did you happen to go to Dee? Valfontis (talk) 06:42, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Never mind, I found it. Valfontis (talk) 06:45, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Heh. I was proud of myself. It would be like the Mojave phone booth. Nobody would understand it, but at least people would know I truly am crazy. All is well, 12-14hour days have been.. interesting. We miss Oregon, of course. tedder (talk) 06:56, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
