We are also introduced to John Sullivan, who is in charge of Ty, and Bosco and Yokas, who work as policemen. The fire department, with Jimmy in charge, are called for a huge fire in the city.

Paramedic Jerry is shot. The emergency squad is called for an emergency, and Carlos hangs for dear life until Jimmy, the firefighter, comes and saves him. Fred, Faith Yokas’s husband tries to convince her to quit her job, but she doesn’t. Ty and Sully talk about Ty Senior’s death, which they both reveal was the worst day of their lives.

Bosco is caught in his squad car in a very compromising situation involving the daughter of his Precinct Captain. Bobby kicks Kim out of the ambulance after getting jealous of Jimmy, and Jimmy pranks both Bosco and Sully. Meanwhile, Doc and Carlos search for the owner of a watch that was left at a scene.

A new attending is introduced in Mercy Hospital, and she gives the cops and paramedics a hard time with her new rules. Doc finds out that Jerry is retiring because of his disability. Joey, Jimmy’s son, goes to Bobby after he becomes sick for eating too much sweets, and then he and Bobby end up fighting. Sully and Ty arrest a purse snatcher (this man wants to stay in jail after discovering that his victim’s son is involved with the mob). Faith takes justice into her own hands with a gangbanger.

Bobby visits his brother. Sully and his ex-wife talk again for the first time in years. Sunny asks Kim for a place to live, but she then runs away as Kim offers her a shelter. She is found later, after she OD’s, and Kim is forced to find her parents to inform them, discovering that “Sunny” was actually an alias. Doc and Carlos have a huge fight over Doc’s teaching methods, and they are separated. Sully sees the value in Ty after he is able to save a girl.

Ty is worried about Sully’s date with Maggie. Bosco and Faith lose a prime witness after he turns out to be a killer. Jimmy plays hero while taking a boy down from a tree.

Matty tries to get money from Bobby, but then gets high and leaves, leaving Bobby unconsolable. Carlos finds out about Doc and Morales’s affair.

Valentine’s day. Bobby and Kim spend the night together, but then Kim realizes her mistake and tells Bobby she doesn’t love him. Bobby then goes to a local bar and meets a woman, then taking off to her place. Drunk, Fred crashes his car when going to look for Emily and Charlie, and Faith arrests him and then throws him out of their house. Carlos helps a girl who was run over by a bus, and then she falls for him. Ty arrests a girl for auto theft, and Faith and Bosco have a fight over his bigotry.

Davis mistakenly shoots a police officer he thought was attacking Sully, and after that, he questions if he should remain in the forces until Sully talks to him. Faith and Bosco’s fight escalates. They discuss politics in the kitchen while Sully tries to get them food, while the paramedics talk about their worst cases and their lives. Jimmy and Kim fight over his debts.

A perpetrator accuses Candyman of stealing money while arresting him, and Davis believes him. As I.A.B. are coming for an interrogatory, Ty doesn’t know what to testify. Policemen and firefighters have a basketball game.

Later at night, they go out in groups and meet 4 young people, who turn out to be the spirits of the teenagers who were sent back to earth to tell them they couldn’t have avoided the crash.

Faith and Bosco chase a suspect, but Faith’s treatment catches up with her and she is unable to help Bosco, and he is shot, but saved by his bulletproof vest. Faith admits to Bosco that she has cancer.

Alex is out of shape, and later re-joins th squad. Kim ad Doc bring a woman to hospital who was beaten by his drug addicted boyfriend, and they later save his boyfriend when he overdoses. Doc feels guilty over paralyzing the man, but is later informed that his paralysis is only temporary. Joey brakes his arm while in Jimmy’s care, and Kim is furious at first, but then calms down. Jimmy is distraught when his son apologizes for crying when he broke his arm.

Sully gets called to the hospital after his step-son is beaten and almost dies, and later discovers that a Russian mob boss named Chevchenko is responsible. Davis is later shot in a cross-fire war between two gangs.

During the investigation of the shoot-out, the officers discover that one of their own cops was killed by friendly fire. Carlos discovers Vangie is dead, and that he might be the father of his child. On the first anniversary of Bobby’s death, Kim quarrels with Jimmy. Doc is visited by the father of a patient who thinks Doc injured his son during treatment.

Bosco’s emotional turmoil escalates when he experiences panic attacks and flashbacks, and he goes to a therapist, although he resists his suggestions and storms out of the consult. After he is suspended from duty, he visits Faith and finally breaks down. Carlos starts an adoption process or Kylie. Ty helps with the babysitting, and saves Kylie’s life when she becomes ill and stops breathing. Fred reacts angrily when he learns that Faith’s preocupation over Bosco’s health may have caused her to fail the sergeant’s exam.

Kim’s preoccupation with her PDA drives Alex crazy. Faith and Fred are still figghting. Faith and Sully attempt to disrupt Chevchenko’s operation, which makes it possible for him to return Tatiana. Bosco is cleared for duty, and partners up with Faith again.

They finally find the arsonist, who turns out to be the son of a NYFD arson investigator. Sully, on leave, is drinking too much, and sleeping at Ty’s and Carlos’s apartment.

Emily and Faith go to the shopping mall, but they get down before as Faith realizes Emily is ashamed of her. They head to a bank nearby, and are later taken hostage during a bank robbery. Faith risks her life when she steps in the line of fire to save Emily, and their relationship becomes stable again, as Emily discovers just how much her mother would do for love.

Kim refuses to give a statement in Carlos’s case after feeling pressured.

Faith helps Bosco out after he goes after Noble, but Maritza is able to intercept them. When Faith refuses to surrender, Maritza draws her gun on Faith, Bosco and Faith draw on Maritza, and three gun shots are heard.

Maritza pays a terrible price as she is raped, after setting up an operation to catch a chiropractor fronted for prostitution.

Barbara’s housekeeper is killed by an explosion, and she is later placed under Sully’s protection. Sasha convinces Maritza to get a rape exam, and they soon discover her rapist had a history of sexually assaulting women at the clinic. At her psych date, Faith unloads her anger at Bosco and Maritza. Buford is held over trial for the death of Lettie Cruz. Sully and Ty follow one of Barnes’s accomplices and later shoot at him after he attempts to kill the judge.

When Doc doesn’t show up for work, Steeper goes head-to-head with Kim. Sasha’s off-duty gun is missing. Faith returns to work, although Fred doesn’t agree. Nardo kindaps Rose and Bosco to prove that he wasn’t a rat, and takes drastic measures when he realizes his mobster days are over. Doc takes extreme measures to keep Steeper from closing the house. Sully returns a favor to Doc when he saves his life in Doc’s hour of greatest need.

Fred gets angry at Faith for partnering up with Bosco. Bosco tries to find Mikey before Cruz does. Faith calls Maritza a liar in front of Swerzky. Faith and Fred’s discussion escalates. Maritza agrees to work with Michael as an informant, and Bosco is enraged when he finds out that Anthony turned Mikey in.

Sasha is suspended for losing her off-duty gun, and distraught over it, she gets into a fatal car accident. Sully and Ty take the L.S.A.T. A new firefighter, J.D. turns up, and Maritza goes after him, as he ratted one of her ex-partners. Ty takes care of Sasha, who’s guilt is too much for her. J.D. realizes Sasha wasn’t responsible for her car accident, which leads her to be exonerated.

Bosco warns Mikey to stay away from Maritza, but he disregards his advice. Bosco threatens to kill her if anything happens to his brother. J.D. offers Kim a ride home, but first stops off at a rave, in which bad ecstasy takes it’s toll. The rave party had been under the close watch of both Anti-Crime and Narcotics. A molotov cocktail is thrown into the building, and the arsonist is captured by Bosco. Faith threatens to report Cruz to I.A.B. after improper conduct. Lester shows up at the station to represent the arsonist. Faith recognizes Joey Mann as the driver who took the arsonist to the rave, and Cruz spooks him as she’s about to catch him. Joey dies in a high speed pursuit. Laura warns Faith and Bosco that Donald Mann, a known mobster, will take revenge for his son’s death.

Lester humiliates Bosco in court. Sully realizes the job has taken a toll on him after three people die at the restaurant where he eats every day. Faith and Bosco are called and then find Lester’s daughter not breathing at home. At the hospital, they discover had been severely beaten and Lester is arrested. Ty and Sasha’s relationship improves.

A headless torso is found by Sully and Ty when they chase a robber, and it turns out to be Mike Boscorelli, murdered by Mann. Grace Foster, a new paramedic, makes everyone feel inferior at the 55 Precinct.

Rose is severely injured, and Grace goes out of her boundaries to save her life. Kim reveals she is pregnant. Mann sends machine-gune minions to the hospital to finish off the job.

The I.A.B. plant is revealed to the viewers at the end of the episode, and it’s not who Maritza expects.

Sasha and Ty’s succesful reconciliation is ruined by an unexpected finding.

The body in the dumpster is connected to a series of homicides that Miller had previously had to abandon, pressured by his boss. He partners up with Faith. Brendan and Grace hook up, and so do Carlos and Holly. Carlos and Grace are attacked by junkies, and Carlos is injured when protecting Grace; Brendan kills one of the junkies, the other escapes. The serial killer arrives at the station, revealing his new victim and the new “game”.

Faith struggles to get Barton to reveal Tara’s whereabouts, until his own pride makes him reveal more than he wants and Faith and Miller succesfully rescue her. Finney and Grace are still in shock and refusing to talk. Ty finds one of Sasha’s pictures on Mann’s assassination, but doesn’t realize what it means. Cruz is arrested for Faith’s actions.

Rice is injured in a lter shooting. Grace offers comfort to Brendan, Sully tells Ty everything about his father’s death. Carlos mistakenly drives Holly away. Faith shares time with Emily, and Bosco is finally released from the hospital.

Monroe and Bosco partner up, and have to deal with a very angry woman at a welfare house who was not being properly helped. Sasha is injured and loses the baby, and Cruz receives bad news about her leukemia. Ty and Brendan find a prostitution ring covered under a construction place.

Ty and Brendan are involved in a car accident, which turns out to be a young disturbed man fighting against a corrupted “religious” leader. Brendan is seriously injured and falls into a coma. Emily’s life is in danger after Dante, the leader of the vampire cult group, follows her to get revenge. Carlos takes Grace to help him buy an engagement ring for Holly.

Bosco saves Emily’s life after she Dante tries to kill her. Cruz tries to negotiate with Hollis to have peace and brings him to the precinct. Instead of helping, he calls his gang and organizes them to attack. While Bosco and Faith are discussing, a bomb is dropped into the building.

Gangbangers assault the precinct, setting it on fire. Sasha and Cruz are trapped in it, but are finally rescued. The house is evacuated and the firefighters fight hard to save the precinct. Meanwhile, Hollis escapes. In the end, it is revealed that Holly and Carlos are getting married, Doc continues to be in a mental institution, Grace and Brendan get married and expect a baby and he is working along with Ty, Swerzky retires, Bosco is transfered to Bed-Stuy, Faith moves in with Miller and Sully moves to the woods to end his days in peace.
