The following is a list of bird taxa to facilitate Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Archive 157#Implementation of the consensus on the capitalization of the names of bird species in Wikipedia.

When you are working on a group of articles, please place a {{Working}} tag at the end of the line naming that group, and sign it. For example, I might tag the Megapodidae line as follows:

  • Family Megapodidae: megapodes (c.30 species/subspecies)  Working Stfg (talk) 13:25, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

When you have finished a group, please change the {{Working}} tag to {{done}}. The effect for Megapodidae would be:

  • Family Megapodidae: megapodes (c.30 species/subspecies)  Done Stfg (talk) 13:25, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Note that some groups are subdivided, for example orders into families. If you consider a group too large to work on but would like to work on some of its articles, please feel free to create additional breakdown for that group on this page, using the next level of listing. You can then work on the subgroup you are interested in. If you break a group down is this way, please take care to make the breakdown comprehensive; for example, list all families in an order, not just some.

If you find other groups of articles, such as bird parasites, nature reserves, etc, then please add a suitable group at the bottom of the page, with a link to a suitable top-level article or category. (Don't forget the extra colon in a category link, as [[:Category:X]].)
