Tales of Game's Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa, frequently abbreviated to Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, is a freeware role-playing video game developed by Tales of Game's Studios. Jokingly presented as an official sequel to both Barkley Shut Up and Jam! and Space Jam, it features traditional JRPG-styled battles and dungeons.

In 2041, in post-apocalyptic cybernetic nightmare[1]. Neo New York[2], NBA star Charles Barkley is in the final seconds of a losing game. In an act of desperation, and an attempt to impress his infant son Hoopz,[3] Barkley accidentally performs a slam dunk of unfathomable power known as the Chaos Dunk, destroying the stadium and nearly everyone within it[4]. This event immediately led both the worldwide outlawing of Basketball and a resulting massacre known as The Great B-Ball Purge of 2041, also referred to as the "B-Ballnacht",[5] where thousands of the best basketball players across the world were hunted down and killed.[6]
Twelve years later, in 2053, the 90-year-old Barkley remains one of the few survivors of the genocide. Forced into retirement with the knowledge he’s the sole reason his beloved game is outlawed [7],[8], he lives with his son as a fugitive in Neo New York while hiding from the fascist B-Ball Removal Department, headed by the traitorous Michael Jordan,[9] [10]. who seeks to enforce the B-Ball Confiscation Act[11] against former players.
Amidst this backdrop, a second Chaos Dunk annihilates the population of Manhatten, killing 15 million people.[12] Barkley, unfairly blamed for the destruction, is surrounded by Jordan’s agents,[13] narrowly escaping to the B-Ball Catacombs - a sprawling tomb which holds the corpses of basketball stars who died before the Purge [14] - with the help of the Ultimate Hellbane, soon revealed to be Balthios James, the octoroon great-grandson of Lebron James.[15] Lebron James, projecting his image from the B-Ball Dimension, explains that B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S. has gained possession of the Ultimate B-Ball, used during the Space Jam to entrap Charles Barkley and four other players to steal their b-ball energy, for unknown purposes.[16] James is unable to maintain his power for long, and ends his warning with a message to "look to the Cyberdwarf”.[17]
