The Colorado Grit are a Tier II junior ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) based in Greeley, Colorado. The Grit play their home games at the Greeley Ice Haus.

The Colorado Grit name was inspired by the resolve to push through tough times and never give up.[1]

History

edit

The Colorado Grit were initially established by Northern Colorado Eagles owner Casey Bradshaw, along with Bob Bowden and David Clarkson as a part of Colorado Sports Partners, LLC.[2] The team replaced the Northern Colorado Eagles as the only junior hockey team in northern Colorado. Due to circumstances unknown, Bradshaw left the ownership group shortly after the team was announced. The ownership group was subsequently renamed Colorado Grit, LLC.

As an expansion team for the 2023-24 season, the Grit are the first NAHL team located in Colorado.
