Rather than have music or TV or Talk Radio, she prefers to Hear His Voice. It soothes her. It is relaxed and calm, melodic, expressing joy and surprise at "repair discoveries", re-assuring and memorable from her childhood. Ambient sound. No music. No TV. No Talk radio blaring the news. Hans Wilsdorf tells him ((("I think I may have met your father"))) meaning Godfrey.... much like we had that chance meeting of Mr and Mrs Walsh in Ottawa, IL. In the story, the Wilsdorfs take a liking to IES as he resembles their deceased son. He goes to work for Rolex and saves up his employee stock option which turn into BIG MONEY.
Wilsdorf convinced a small watch movement manufacturer in Switzerland, Aegler, to produce watch movements small enough to wear on the wrist. A great visionary, Hans saw the trend to move away from the Pocket watch. (((The widespread use of pocket watches in a professional environment came to an end in approximately 1943)))

The AIOC withdrew its management from Iran, and Britain organised an effective worldwide embargo of Iranian oil. The British government, which owned the AIOC, contested the nationalisation at the International Court of Justice at The Hague, but its complaint was dismissed.
