Adding overcolored template

edit

This template's title text uses a background gradient between the Amtrak theme color and the BART theme color. The accessibility issue is that Amtrak's theme color requires white text for sufficient contrast, but the BART theme color requires black text for sufficient contrast. It would be best to choose one color or the other for the background color, and then choose the text color that meets contrast. Thisisnotatest (talk) 21:32, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Thisisnotatest: As with most route diagram templates, this is transcluded in an infobox without the header. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 23:21, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@User:Pi.1415926535: Thank you. Indeed. For example, Oakland Coliseum station has light blue on white for the text "Track and platform layout" rather that the gradient. But that raises the question why even bother putting coloration on the template header on the template? The page {{Oakland Coliseum station}} is currently not fully accessible for contrast to visiting authors who might want to use the template. Thisisnotatest (talk) 00:54, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
