Admissions

Please can a new field be added "Admissions" (For a schools admission policy) for example Grammar or Comprehensive. As this information doesn't currently fit will in type! As type is for stage of eduction and type of school. example being Secondary Academy. Mark999 (talk) 17:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

I see you have been waiting for a week and no one has commented on this, but I am wary of adding additional fields without consensus. Can you explain in more detail why the type parameter will not do this job? Have you discussed this anywhere else? Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:52, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Perhaps post about this at Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Schools EyeTripleE (talk) 01:05, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
The type really refers to the type of school for example Community school, Academy ect and the phase of education has been incorporated into this to for example Primary, Further, Secondary, All-Through. But I wouldn't say the admission policy fits well into type and could be better represented under a different heading the types of policy are, Comprehensive, Grammar. But under further investigation I don't think it really does need a new field to be added so I would say this matter is closed. Mark999 (talk) 16:26, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Merge with Infobox School?

The last merge discussion was in 2007. As far as I see 80% of the parameters in this template are duplicated in Infobox school and the remaining parameters could easily be added. I think it might be time to consider this again. Thoughts? EyeTripleE (talk) 06:35, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Comment
This is a complex decision and one that is hard to call. If I were wishing to propose this I would- demonstrate the idea in so we could flick between it and Infobox UK school to see they both rendered identically. That way we have the facts needed to make an informed decision. Incidently Infobox School redirects to Infobox school. UK schools are complex animals- Public/Private/VA/VC/Special Agreement and that was just in the 1944 Act- with Academies/Academy Chains/Free School/Executtive Head Teachers from mentor schools !, terminology is moving fast and the template must be flexible to cope with future changes. Please bear this in mind. -- Clem Rutter (talk) 19:27, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Good idea. I'll try to mock something up this weekend so we can see how feasible this is. Fixed the link, thanks for pointing that out.EyeTripleE (talk)
Might do this over the holidays? EyeTripleE (talk) 20:55, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Against: As said UK schools are a very complex thing and is changing very quickly. To preserve all required information I think the best situation is to keep them separate for now at least. I have a horrible feeling that if they were merged the amount of info provided would decrease and ultimately lead to many school articles being deleted. Mark999 (talk) 16:30, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, I should have specified I might mock up something, not that I'd actually do a merge. I think the best course is to generate something to demonstrate and proceed if it is satisfactory. I don't think many school articles would be deleted since for secondary schools notability is presumed. EyeTripleE (talk) 05:14, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Staff

Please can "Staff" be removed as staff numbers are no longer shown on edubase so there is no way of making sure information is accurate anymore.

Also please can a new field be added "Admissions" (For a schools admission policy) for example Grammar or Comprehensive. As this information doesn't currently fit will in type! As type is for stage of eduction and type of school. example being Secondary Academy. Mark999 (talk) 17:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Edubase isn't the only source of data. Bazj (talk) 08:09, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Can you find another source that is accurate for staff numbers? Mark999 (talk) 15:31, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Only for independents and I still can't find staff info Mark999 (talk) 00:28, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
It wouldn't matter if it were only for independents, the template needs to cater for all sectors. However, I was mistaken about isc.co.uk, and isi.net and local council websites haven't been any more helpful. Additionally, the staff number makes no distinction as to whether it's an absolute headcount or FTE which makes it pretty pointless. So,   Done. Bazj (talk) 10:43, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Scotland publishes numbers of school roll and FTE staff numbers here: [1]. Drchriswilliams (talk) 10:16, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for catching that Drchriswilliams. I overlooked that education is a devolved matter. The change has been reverted. Bazj (talk) 10:38, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Medium

What is this field that has appeared, what is it for? Mark999 (talk) 18:52, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Infobox school has "medium of language" which is the language the school teaches in. Perhaps this is the same thing. EyeTripleE (talk) 00:17, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
It was introduced with the merger of Template:Infobox Scotland school in 2013. for (;;) (talk) 08:39, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

Location problem

When filled in, the various location fields end up looking like a postal address. This breaks in some situations, such as when the postal address is not the same county as the geographical location. For example The Downs Malvern is geographically located in Colwall, which is in Herefordshire but its postal address references Malvern in Worcestershire. If the truth is entered, then the apparent postal address is borked. But if the postal address is entered then the geographical location is borked. Is there a "correct" solution to this, or is the template design itself borked? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 11:07, 26 May 2017 (UTC)

Again, Malvern is not a "city", except in postal address parlance (where even Upton-upon-Severn is deemed a city). Should we just change the Location legend to Postal address? If not, why lay it out, including the postcode, as if it were one? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 11:10, 26 May 2017 (UTC)

Edubase on its way out

The DfE have announced today that there is a new beta replacement service for Edubase here. The URL for the new establishment details page is https://www.get-information-schools.service.gov.uk/Establishment/Details/<URN> so it seems a reasonably straightforward switch. Is it worth adding to the template now, and then deprecating the Edubase links when and if they close it down? CalzGuy (talk) 18:46, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

Looks like EduBase is now gone, and redirects to the homepage of the new service rather than the counterpart page. --Lewis Hulbert (talk) 19:52, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

New fields- Fortismere School

I am looking to regularise Fortismere School, and am I now examining the infobox. There are two issues:

  • the school has divided itself into colleges- they have tried to add the parameter |colleges = Alexandria, Ephesus, Colosseum, Rhodes, Olympia, Petra but of course that doesn't work could that be enabled as an alternative to |houses please. The workaround in this case renders at the wrong spot on the page.
  • I wish to add the fields

| pushpin_map = | pushpin_image = | pushpin_mapsize = | pushpin_map_alt = | pushpin_map_caption = | pushpin_label = | pushpin_label_position =

as described in the Template:Infobox school , the workaround here is logically hideous. ClemRutter (talk) 22:00, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Overhaul needed!

Hi, I really think this Infobox UK school template needs sorting out. It seems the standard Infobox school is more comprehensive and better organised than this template. It has more fields and headings such as Address that displays a map, address and coordinates and Information that displays the rest of the fields. I'm aware that there are fields different for UK schools, but I think either Infobox UK school should be merged into Infobox school, that way you would have one template that would be used/continued as a 'standard' school template. Although this process may be time-consuming and seeing as so many UK school articles are using this template, could be a big hassle. If this is not possible, at least it would be good to add the same headings; Address and Information like the Infobox school, that way the infobox and fields added would be better organised, as well as preventing it from looking like a long list of fields. Other names, former names and predecessor fields would be good too, there are schools in the UK that have had different names and in the case of predecessor, some schools were formed by the merger of two different schools. I really think someone should have a look at this, I'm not very experienced on Wikipedia yet. Please let me know, thanks! :) Steven (Editor) (talk) 18:21, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

@Steven (Editor): You are right about the need for an overhaul- but your proposal is a step backwards. There were historic reasons why the UK infobox broke away, and it happened long before I got involved. To change the generic template to cope with the changes in UK practice will be far harder than working here. Trust to experience! We can discuss here the changes needed. I am far clearer on the needs of UK state schools than the private sector.
  • Predecessor schools- yes for mergers, and former names for name changes of the entity. (position needs to be discussed)
  • Feeder schools rare now but could be returning, it is true that some trusts have preferred schools written into their admissions procedures
  • Associated schools need to be provided for schools in the same trust.
PAN Pupil application number is an uncontraversial addition- Number on roll is an alternative wording for students
MAT- The structure of governance of schools has change with government policy of running down LEAs. Amost all UK secondary schools, are the legal responsibility of an Academy Trust. It is the norm that the role of chair of governors had been split. It is now the Chair of the MAT-Trust, and Local governing body chair that we need to document. The Oasis Trust delegates the power of the Chair of the MAT-Trust to regional directors. The staff names are changing- CEO, Executative Principal, Executative Vice Principal(s), Principal, Vice principal, Head of School, Head of Upper School, Head of Lower School and Head of Sixth Form are all now needed. (positioning needs to be considered. Also a Trust website field is needed under School websight
Address and Information is not a good idea. An infobox is also a source for Wikidata, and information is far too woolly a term for the generation of structured data.
Sixth form number and Sixth form gender is different from the rest of the school.
Shared sixth forms has also to be addressed.

So there are a few more ideas for discussion. But in an nutshell, an overhaul is needed.

Pushpin maps

I want to introduce pushpin maps and street addresses to this template. You can see them in Japanese School in London which uses the general schools template. I tied adding them to Teikyo School United Kingdom, which uses the UK template, but they don't display.

Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 23:33, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

Was requested in previous section. Where would you want to display the map in the template? Keith D (talk) 00:36, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
Before the location data (city, country, postcode, etc) WhisperToMe (talk) 00:55, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
I have copied the code for the map from infobox school to the sandbox version as a trial. You can see the result in the last entry in the testcases Keith D (talk) 12:02, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
Thanks @Keith D: I have taken this one stage further and added a line to the shared /doc. I tested it out on one of the pages I am working with,Brompton Academy- expecting frustration and I got a map! The Infobox UK place/doc/Unitary appears to select the map on the county field, so this gave a clue as to which maps were available, and this was the same word as we needed for the parameter here. ClemRutter (talk) 21:56, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
Thanks as well! Works for Teikyo! WhisperToMe (talk) 22:08, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
OK but more work needed on making the documentation consistent with the feature, compare the article Dartford Grammar School with the code snippit and example on this page.
The push pin doesn't appear on the on-hover summary popup.
There appears to be a shortage of relevant maps- Brompton Academy needs to show its location within Gillingham, not just within the lieutenacy of Kent. Fortismere School needs to display is location within Haringay, as will KAA and KAA2 (Kensington and Chelsea). I'ĺl have a look at what I can do but won't be offended if someone comes up with a solution before me.ClemRutter (talk) 19:19, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
I added some basic documentation to the /doc page of the template, feel free to modify it if you can make it clearer.
Unsure what the on-hover summary popup is, but when you place the cursor over the red mark it gives the name Brompton Academy.
Maps are made as required for articles, that is not a problem for the template, but a general problem. Keith D (talk) 23:06, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
Hover over this link.Fortismere School as there is no previous image to display we see the raw map with no caption, I suspect that is also a general problem.
The other issue, not map related is where details of colleges should go. Using free-labels places them at the bottom, whereas houses are placed further up. Use of a house-label field (default Houses) gives a better option. Crown Woods calls the schools. There are interesting questions for extreme cases like this on whether provision should be made to add sub-templates for each sub-school and what information needs to be added and what discouraged. Title, colour, name of Head of House/school/College, age range maybe. To allow all this we would need a position for the link, so it looks to me that house-label|houses|house-free-text|house-free-text-label might give the flexibility we need. But more input is obviously required.ClemRutter (talk) 00:18, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Update: I have been looking further at the maps issue- it does seem to be a bit more complex. The parameter needs the name Kent but the file called is Kent_UK_location.svg, the template must concatenate the text- and while this may be explained in the help link it is not clear here. But we are getting there. Nilfanion seems to have generated the svg county maps from open Ordnance Survey data while I am more familiar with Open Street Map pngs- thats another issue to investigate- but thats for tomorrow. ClemRutter (talk) 21:46, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
I took the opportunity to put this live as the comments appear to be outside of the template itself. Keith D (talk) 19:01, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

"Approx" not working?

Hi, Is the "Approx" parameter supposed to work ? if so it doesn't! - Over at Aylesford School – Sports College it just says "c." and the rest is blank?, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 23:12, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Teapot Lane- teachers of my generation called it that. The parameter must be used with established | established = 1940 || approx = y . Yes it needs to be improved.--ClemRutter (talk) 00:26, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Okie dokie I've self reverted, Ah right sorry I thought 1940 was meant to go in either established or approx, Okie dokie thanks for fixing it :), –Davey2010Talk 14:21, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

DfE Number

I've commented out the code for |dcsfno=, as the target site has been down for a while; see, for example [2]. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 09:38, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

dfeno

At the moment this is blanked out.

<!--
| rowclass20 = note
| label20    = DfE number
| data20     = {{#if:{}
| {{Schoolsfinder|{{#titleparts:{dfeno}|1|1}}|{{#titleparts:{dfeno}|1|2}}}}
| {}
}}
-->

One can see why- as Schoolsfinder is broken. The dfe website is being reformated and replaced by the "Get information about schools" (England) website.

But it does result in the data not being visible. | data20 = {{#if:{}|{}|}} would be better than nothing. Don't you think? ClemRutter (talk) 22:55, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Something would be useful, this is throwing warnings out about unknown fields. Or a comment in the documentation. 2A02:C7F:7428:D200:2CCD:6591:2F90:1182 (talk) 14:12, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
It looks like the UK government is standardizing on "URN", which is supported by EduBase and this infobox. Schoolsfinder is probably no longer needed. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:23, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
If there is an URN provided, there is probably no need for it to be linked at all. If there isn't, it could go to https://get-information-schools.service.gov.uk/Establishments/Search?SelectedTab=Establishments&OpenOnly=false&SearchType=Text&TextSearchModel.Text={dfeno} e.g. [3] ? - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 14:26, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
Still a problem- this is a very useful field if you are working from historic documents- whether or whether not it links. Can we restore it as straight text if nothing better can be found. ClemRutter (talk) 18:29, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

Template-protected edit request on 16 June 2018

dfeno has been blanked out, it is throwing a warning when used (as it will be by editors using Historical Sources). There is discussion on this talk page that is dated Jan 2018. I suggested

| data20 = {{#if:{}|{}|}}

I have insufficient permissions to do this myself.

In the same talk page there is discussion about the old urn being capable of having a list of entries. Nottingham Academy has three predecessor schools. I see two ways of achieving this but am not going to put forward detailed suggestions before I have the permissions I need to test their validity. ClemRutter (talk) 18:50, 16 June 2018 (UTC) ClemRutter (talk) 18:50, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

You should have the ability to edit Template:Infobox UK school/sandbox to test your edits. You can use the Template:Infobox UK school/testcases page to see the results of your edits. – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:05, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
ClemRutter, I wouldn't bother having a list of entries for the old URN parameter. I don't even think it's worth having this parameter because according to Ofsted, it's removed 3/5 years after a school has closed. Steven (Editor) (talk) 15:27, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
  Not done: please put code in the sandbox and get consensus before making the request — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:29, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

You are missing the point entirely. If you are focused on writing templates that is fine, if you are trying to document the tsunami of changes that education is suffering, you don't need to be distracted by brushing up your template speak. I don't expect a template wallah to follow the pending demise of UTCs, or the finances of MATs. The myriad of documents and downloads still display old-urns and dfenos, which we as editor and education professionals still use. I repeat my request- there is enough information in this thread and the talk page to understand the issue. ClemRutter (talk) 11:55, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you are replying to me or someone else, but I asked if code could be put on the sandbox first. Then if there is no opposition then I will make the change — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 06:43, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

old_urn or old_urns

The old_urn field is pretty important for establishing the Ofsted audit trail of a school. And it almost works in simple cases- ideally there should be an option to allow the raw number to be displayed/remain invisible. This is the code, and it is fairly complex at the moment. Visibility should just be an extra .

| rowclass32 = note
| label32    = Ofsted
| data32     = {{#if:{}
| {{#if:{}
  | {{ofsted|{urn}|Reports}}
  | {{#if:{}|{{ofsted|{dcsfurn}|Reports}}}}
  }}
}} {{#if:{}|{{ofsted|{}|Pre-academy reports}}}}

However this is not the full story- I am looking at Nottingham Academy and this was formed by merging three schools- so we have three numbers, that need to go into the field that is expecting one. We have also merged the three pages for Greenwood Dale 11-19, Elliott Durham 11-16 and The Jesse Boot Primary School 3-11 into this one article. Probably the user would be happy to mark it up it as old_urns = 935881#945881#955881 but there must be some discussion on how we wish to render this. Would we perhaps wish to see it as a table with rows of |old school name |old_urn. The important thing is to lay out an Ofsted audit trail to each of the predecessor schools, which may be part of the story or used merely to verify data. ClemRutter (talk) 23:33, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Spoke too soon the old_urn field is now broken. I tested it on Arnold Hill Academy and the links are down.ClemRutter (talk) 23:49, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Merging template

Discussion is (also) continued at talk:Infobox_school. -DePiep (talk) 18:14, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

I am working on merging this template with Template:Infobox school as per the decision at TfD. The first version is now in /sandbox with a test case at /testcases. I still need to add support for dfeno and urn, but initial comments would be welcome. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:35, 26 October 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for your work. dfeno and urn are crucial- but old_urn still interests me- see the discussion above.
I looked again at Nottingham Academy and found broken external links etc, and a problem with the maps. The editors have needed to represent 3 campuses on the map in text, and omitted the map from the infobox. Could the infobox field cope with 3 locations? It does no harm but do we need to have the option of site within the UK and site within England? --ClemRutter (talk) 08:42, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
@Steven (Editor): you seem to have dropped the ball with this merger proposal you initiated in January. Would you like to get involved? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:11, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
@ClemRutter: I have added support for urn to Template:Infobox school/sandbox and its result can be observed on Template:Infobox UK school/testcases. As dfeno is not currently supported by this template and (as you note above) old_urn is not working, I think I will leave those for now. This can be discussed later when the merger is complete. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:34, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

This merging is nearly ready to go ahead. ClemRutter: I have added the Nottingham Academy to Template:Infobox UK school/testcases. The multiple postcodes do look a bit weird and I think perhaps this detail should not be in the infobox. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:31, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

  • In case you missed it, the January TfD had a list of 8 missing parameters:
LEA to display as Local Authority in the infobox, or an option to have it displayed as this rather than LEA (currently named as this in the Infobox school template), the UK Government website, DfE now calls it Local authority   Done maps to Local authority
dfeno (previously dcsfno) - "The 7-digit DfE number of a school in England or Wales, available from the DfE EduBase website. A slash should separate the first three digits, identifying the local authority, from the last four, identifying the establishment within the LA."   Not done not supported by previous version
urn (previously dcsfurn) - "The 6-digit DfE Unique Reference Number (URN) of a school in England or Wales, available from the DfE EduBase website and the Ofsted website. The field generates a link to the school's page on EduBase."   Done maps to DfE URN
old_urn - possibly the ability to also add a second or third old urn should a school have been established from a merger of two or more schools - field produces a link to the text of 'Pre-Academy Reports'   Not done not supported by previous version
ofsted - aware this field is already present in the Infobox school template but should be removed, and changed so that "Any non-blank text in this field signifies that the school's teaching is inspected by Ofsted, and causes a link to the current Ofsted reports page for the school to be generated from the value of the urn field."   Done
capacity - the schools capacity, in terms of the number of pupils   Done maps to new field capacity
predecessor - this field isn't on the infobox UK school template, but I was thinking this field should be created, as there are schools around the world, including the UK that have been established from a merger of two or more predecessor schools - would be ideal to have this field situated after the other name and former name fields, and before school type field on the Infobox school template   Not done, should be part of a fresh discussion
trust - "If the school is a sponsor led academy or a foundation school it maybe be part of a trust or foundation." - many schools in the UK have become academies, some have become part of a 'trust'. It would be ideal to have this field situated just after the school type field on the Infobox school template   Done in sandboxes

These should be added to Infobox school then; none the other way around.

In the mean time changes might have happened, and the deprecated ones need check (still needed?). -DePiep (talk) 19:38, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

  • Testpage setup. I have made a setup in to compare current UK-infobox with /sandbox new infobox (same parameter input). Note that Preview also adds info (unknown parameters). If you think all this is unhelpful: easy to revert  ;-). -DePiep (talk) 19:57, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Existing bad parameters. See Category:Pages using infobox UK school with unknown parameters (0): that a lot. - DePiep (talk) 20:01, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
    I am confused. How/from where is this category populated? Infobox UK school does *not* invoke Module:Check for unknown parameters. Also, opreview ing a bad page does not show any warning + misspelled parameters. -DePiep (talk) 22:07, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
    I guess it was populated by the previous unmerged version of this template. What kind of error checking is needed here? Will the error checking at Infobox school suffice? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:28, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
    Argh, this afternoon it was merged. I didn't saw that process. Got to rethink the testpage. So yes, muist be an old population by the previous version. What to do? As it is now, I assume, Infobox school will handle the categorisation and this old category will turn empty. If this is so, we cannot detect UK-school errors separately (in the all-school errors category). I think I need a research and a night's sleep over this situation. What other process steps do you have in mind? -DePiep (talk) 22:43, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Category:Pages using infobox school with unsupported parameters (368) should be the new category (now at 811 P). -DePiep (talk) 22:47, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
  • And I have added TemplateDate (all parameters), just to get MonthlyErrorReport going per Nov 1 (expect available ca. Nov 4).
    Thanks for your help. I was hoping someone would show up to help with this. I have indicated above the current situation. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:50, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Capacity

I can find no equivalent field for capacity in Template:Infobox school. Is this field commonly used? Is there a suitable mapping for it? Or does a new field need creating? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:40, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

I've added a new field to Infobox School — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:25, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Ofsted

Is the ofsted number always the same as the urn? Because if so, there is not much point displaying both. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:32, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

get-information-schools.service.gov.uk UK schools are a moveable feast! I was going to say NO- but I tried to find an example- and the answer has to be yes. On the site that I have linked you will find three numbers Ofsted URN, DFE Number and UKPRN. Each of these is in the field_labelled ID. But we are left with problem of what the caption should be? What is a UKPRN? Ofsted inspections each have a unique number and the inspectorate team also has a number.
That is all well and good for today, but look on the same site School links tab and we see the term URN used. These are links to the schools before the merger. Each of them has a page, Example which ideally would be used to write and reference a section on the page we are writing/viewing. On the ground there are three separate campuses. Should we include the URN of the these component schools within the infobox? The merger has been acrimonious and each school is/was notable in its own right. This is the largest school I know of in England- and if we can get this right we are winners.
The dfe number is of the format 862/1203- the numbers before the slash refer to the containing local eduction authority, and s used be Wikipedians to research global local policies and local funding formulas, the number after refers to the establishment including those that are not officially rated as schools- such as special need units, units that Ofsted cannot inspect etc. dfe numbers are used by libraries to index their offline resources. So in answer to your question- probably do need to keep, as the transition to Ofsted number to URN nearly worked, and the transition from URN and Ofsted number to Ofsted URN is not complete for historic material. Hope that helps.ClemRutter (talk) 11:24, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Looking at my watchlist: Nottingham College- uses the Ofsted field to provide an external link to the reports on the Ofsted site, it isn't a number at all.ClemRutter (talk) 12:10, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
