White flag
editIs there any particular reason that 
(flagicon|white) links to the main page? Surely it should link to White flag? A7V2 (talk) 00:23, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- The base template is {{Country data Example}}, which implies that using a white flag should be for example purposes and not article use. {{flagg|uxx|blank}} might be better, as it shows
as well without being linked. I don't really have any opinions on whether the behaviour being described is a good one necessarily, so do not take my suggestion as saying we should leave everything as-is (I am rather apathetic on that count). Once again, though, I am reminded that this entire system is ridiculous and we need a better one (which I am working on, just... slowly). Primefac (talk) 10:51, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Fatah
editHow does this work and why is it not working for 
Fatah or anything connected to them? Most other newsworthy Palestinian factions seem to work - e.g. 
- but not tree biggest. Does it pull a flag off the wiki page for a thing? Or is there a separate database? Does the flag on the page need to be a particular file format or size? Irtapil (talk) 13:43, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Since the names of several flag-related templates, including this one, have recently been changed, there are now a number of unnecessary redirects within this template. Pleae fix these as shown.
- flagicon/core --> flag icon/core
- flagdeco/core --> flag decoration/core
- flagdeco --> flag decoration
