Update for new reporting period

edit

{{editprotected}} Please change the "SU" portion of the link to "FA", as the Arbitron website has been updated with Fall 2008 SIPs and the current link no longer works.

Also, the similar AM template is only semi-protected - seems logical that there should be consistency in protection across both templates. Mlaffs (talk) 18:49, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Remove "Query" label

edit

Hello, I think that the word "Query" should be removed form the link's label. --167.58.214.1 (talk) 17:11, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 1 July 2020

edit

I'd like to request that this template support a second optional parameter allowing the link text to be overridden, just like in the related template {{FMQ}}. Here's what the code would look like:

[https://www1.arbitron.com/sip/displaySip.do?surveyID=WI20&band=fm&callLetter={{{1}}} {{#if:{{{2|}}}|{{{2}}}|Query Nielsen Audio's FM station database for {{{1}}}}}]<noinclude>
{{documentation}}
</noinclude>

I'd also like to request that the text of the template be tweaked to match the style used in many other external link templates, wherein only the page name is linked, and the site name appears after the link. This would be something like: [https://... {{{1}}}] in [[Nielsen Audio]]'s FM station database. I think this makes the link look a bit cleaner, and it also allows us to link to Nielsen Audio to provide additional context.

If both of my requests were to be accepted, the template would look something like this:

[https://www1.arbitron.com/sip/displaySip.do?surveyID=WI20&band=fm&callLetter={{{1}}} {{{2|{{{1}}}}}}] in [[Nielsen Audio]]'s FM station database<noinclude>
{{documentation}}
</noinclude>

And here's how that would look in practice:

Code Output
{{FMARB|WABC}} WABC in Nielsen Audio's FM station database
{{FMARB|WABC|Custom text}} Custom text in Nielsen Audio's FM station database
