Edit request from RaymondSutanto, 15 June 2011 edit

Please add an interwiki : id:Templat:Country data Estonia

RaymondSutanto (talk) 09:38, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Could you please add it to Template:Country data Estonia/doc? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:50, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 26 January 2015 edit

Needs:

| link alias-air force = Estonian Air Force

-- intgr [talk] 10:01, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Intgr: I don't think that's going to be sufficient. Please give an example of a different country data template that already does what you want this one to do, so that I can see how it's achieved. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:36, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Redrose64: {{Country data Canada}} for example links to Royal Canadian Air Force. -- intgr [talk] 14:54, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
That template has two related parameters:
| flag alias-air force = Royal Canadian Air Force ensign.svg
| link alias-air force = Royal Canadian Air Force
so it looks like |flag alias-air force= may also be necessary. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:59, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Redrose is right. It seems to require the flag alias as well. I've used File:State_Flag_of_the_Estonian_Air_Force.png - I hope this is correct. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:54, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
A separate flag alias-air force parameter is not required; if absent the image displayed with {{air force}} defaults to the image specified by the flag alias parameter (the national flag). Setting only the link alias should work as expected. SiBr4 (talk) 13:45, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
@SiBr4: It didn't work when I tested it as a preview (without saving), which is why I said "I don't think that's going to be sufficient" - I've since saved my test at this sandbox where the words "air force" and the flag do not show up. But If I make this edit, they then show as intended. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:34, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
That was an inconsistency in the documentation of the military flags in Template:Country showdata; I corrected that. Though a link alias without corresponding flag alias wasn't sufficient to be shown in the automatic documentation, it works correctly when used in {{Air force}}. Howdy! Please copy and paste this text below into the template proper; overwrite everything in it with this. Here's a permalink to the sandbox with with this code text in it so you know what it looks like, should any hiccups arise. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 13:19, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Code removed as it is in Template:Country data Estonia/sandbox. @Illegitimate Barrister:: do you have a source for File:Flag of Estonia (1918–1940, 1990–2014).svg? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:08, 14 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. Cabayi (talk) 13:21, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Source is the Wikipedia article and the relevant citation references; not that it matters because its not part of the edit request in question so it's irrelevant here. Besides, I'm the wrong person to be asking anyway since I didn't make the file; if you want to know more about it, contact the editors who actually made the file back in 2005.– Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 20:40, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Regarding consensus, Wikipedian guidelines clearly state that: "Consensus isn't needed if a change is not controversial". – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 21:14, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Why would I contact them? Two of the three flags you're trying to add to the template (1, 2) were uploaded by you 8 & 9 days ago. Cabayi (talk) 22:42, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
