Tyler Kinley

edit

Converted from a redirect by Muboshgu (talk) and Malmmf (talk). Nominated by Muboshgu (talk) at 16:29, 28 March 2018 (UTC).

  • Converted redir with borrowed text that was sufficiently expanded, and nomination was on time. No neutrality or paraphrasing concerns. QPQ done. Some of the 2016–2017 team names were not verifiable based on existing cited sources. It would be preferable to have closer citations to the actual sentences, instead of bundling multiple sentences to the Washington Post and Star-Tribune sources. At a minimum, something like the MiLB profile could be cited to that whole bundle if you elect not to move citations around.—Bagumba (talk) 11:49, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
  • @Bagumba: I can fix that soon, but maybe not until Monday. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:48, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Oh poop I never fixed this did I? On it... – Muboshgu (talk) 19:30, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
  • @Bagumba: This should be fine now. I used the MiLB profile in an additional place. The WaPo (really AP) piece does convey some of the 2016 stats. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:36, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
  • I did a copyedit to address remaining ref concerns with team names and wording about career stats. Your hooks are sourced OK. However, what would you consider 1) changing main hook to just "... is the great-great-great nephew of former U.S. President William McKinley?" (less verbose, minor WP:OVERLINK concerns for a hook) or ALT1 to "... surname from "McKinley" after the assassination of the 25th President of the United States?" (overlink of surname, less repetitious and more intrigue with not repeating "McKinley" and the president's name)?—Bagumba (talk) 08:23, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
  • @Bagumba: Kinley's, uh, performance tonight reminded me of his article. Thanks for the copy edit. I like the wordings you proposed better than what I put down there so I'm happy to change them. – Muboshgu (talk) 03:07, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Good to go with ALT1.—Bagumba (talk) 11:53, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
