Ozone depletion and global warming
edit- ... that Ronald Reagan's nose and Starship Enterprise shields made a difference between the regulation efforts of ozone depletion and global warming?
- ALT1: ... that studies about ozone depletion and global warming tell us about the importance of managing ignorance and uncertainties of political decision making?
- Comment: Hooks either in Sheldon Ungar, it was actually the skin cancer removal on RRs nose and the hollywood affinities of the shield image that helped tio achieve the Momtreal protokol

- I apologize for the spelling errors I made here. An english native speaker was invited to look on the article and did some corrections. If you have specific issues, please clarify on the talk page. I fully agree that the hooks sound weird, thats the reason they are forwarded. The connections are however being made in a sociologists study about the topic (including RRs nose) and NOT being based on shabby newspapers. - When articles are split, or sections of an article are based on other articles, then the nomination comes under WP:WYKSG#A5:
If some of the text were copied from another Wikipedia article, then it must be expanded fivefold as if the copied text had been a separate article.
In this case, the article was split from Ozone depletion, and new sections were based on material from Public opinion on climate change, Politics of global warming, and a bit from Montreal Protocol. I was careful to compare the material in Ozone depletion from prior to Serten's initial edits on August 23, so none of the material created by Serten immediately before the split was counted as copied. Even so, there were at least 4365 prose characters of copied material in the article (I was conservative in what I counted). Given a total of 12597 prose characters now, the expansion is under 3x, when a 5x expansion to 21825 prose characters would be needed. This would require another 9828 prose characters, which is more than was added during the article's creation. Serten, if you think you can do this, let me know; otherwise, I think your best bet is to get the article to the point that it can be nominated for and listed as a Good Article, at which point it will be eligible for DYK. I'm sorry this isn't working out. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:20, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
