I've been revamping this article. And it's going to be a while, because this is tedious. First of all, I'm not sure "series of restaurants" is correct. It's the same restaurant. She just kept running into difficulty and re-opening the same business at a new address. Also, I'm not running into much about her personality, although some mention it in passing. I've only gotten as far as the Sausalito locations. But if you look at it so far, the article is ripe with hook possibilities. For instance, that 40-person brawl where patrons were trying to kill each other, one person hit in the head with an axe, multiple arrests, a resulting lawsuit. Also, where I picked it up, there was this sentence "Musson was well known for not giving money matters a great deal of attention" - you think? She didn't pay employment taxes, didn't bother to make rent payments (and got evicted). I'm not sure if I'll make it all the way through to the end. But this hook should probably be put on hold for a while. The article is a work in progress. — Maile (talk) 15:32, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- OK. Well, at least you have inspired me to keep going with this. I've been at the point where I can't believe this woman was allowed to operate a restaurant. I don't find sexual, either innuendo or otherwise. It's more biker gang bar flavor. - @EEng: I've done what I can source, which is mostly the restaurants she owned in chron order. Go for it. I still say the best hook would come from that biker's brawl. At least as far as hooking the reader. If you don't have access at Newspaperarchives.com and need more details, ask me. So, the recap of the 1963 fight, it was probably racially tinged, but the article doesn't say so. That year was a peak year in civil rights. The article explains that "...the Presidents, a San Francisco motorcycle club" were having a party at the club just before midnight. A black man walked up and threw coffee on one of the bikers. A fight ensued, and somebody temporarily broke it up. The law enforcement arrived, and "a group of about 10 Negroes" standing around armed with weapons were asked to leave. And then all hell broke loose between the black group and the bikers. I'm not sure who would be interested that Musson was a bit careless about paying taxes and following sanitation ordinances. I could be wrong about this, but just because she mistreated some people and had a tendency to get into fights, is somewhat of a "so what?"— Maile (talk) 22:08, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Article is new enough (1 day old) of adequate size, thoroughly referenced. It is neutral despite such a dramatic topic. No copyright violation detected. QPQ was performed. Hook alt1 is too long at 200 characters. But a variation on it would be possible. ALT2 is in the article. Referenced and confirmed.
