Overall: Thank you, Nikkimaria and Gerda Arendt for a thorough examination of this Bach cantata. It was promoted to GA on 27 January 2022.

  • One minor issue of wording. Re "The scoring of flute, violin and continuo is reminiscent of countless trio sonatas by George Frideric Handel, Georg Philipp Telemann and others": Handel and Telemann were contemporaries of J.S. Bach, so saying that J.S. Bach's work is inspiring us to recall earlier memories of theirs, doesn't work for those of us who happen to have heard Bach long before we heard Handel and Telemann. "Reminiscent" refers to memories of the past, so, reminiscent to whom? They could all have fed off each other's ideas contemporaneously, and without detailed analysis of who was inspired by whom with respect to which dots precisely, that's the best we can guess. I would suggest substituting "not unlike" for "reminiscent of".

If we can resolve this small matter of wording, this nom should be good to go. Storye book (talk) 18:20, 30 January 2022 (UTC)

Thank you so much for a fast and detailed review. Is there a better word than "reminiscent". The idea is "makes you think", not of something earlier. It's quite surprising to be reminded of entertaining music in a memorial service. --Gerda Arendt (talk)
"Evocative of"? Storye book (talk) 21:41, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
"evokes" is more active language, in my opinion theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 06:34, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: Please see above comments? Thank you. Storye book (talk) 09:35, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you both, "evokes" taken. Perhaps wait until I created the bio, which may be tomorrow if we don't learn of another recent death. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:39, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: and @Nikkimaria: Just putting a reminder for others here that this nom and hook are aimed at 6 February, so we need the special occasion slot. Let's all hope we can work together quickly to help the promoters do this in the short time we have? Thank you. Storye book (talk) 09:59, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the reminder that this is for 6 and the one I wanted to do is for 7, will do this guy first, rather soon. Perhaps watch the red link temporarily. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:04, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
(edit conflict) To admin: this nom has passed DYK in itself, but it awaits the publication and DYK review of Johann Christoph von Ponickau (currently a red link in the hook), and the hook is designed for the 6 February slot. So we are not expecting promotion to prep yet. Storye book (talk) 10:11, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
And now a start is there for the person. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:29, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
I am going to use the so far only ref also for the cantata, please keep watching. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:41, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
  • Wow, that was quick, Gerda! Thank you.
  • Good to go now, for special occasion slot 6 February. Storye book (talk) 11:43, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you! I wonder where in the new article I might place the elaborate image caption of the original engraving which supports some of his functions. Also, as usual, the new article cries for several other red links to be blued. His French article, btw, dates back to 2011, by LouisAlain, who would create the blues in no time, but Wikipedia expels such helpers, sigh. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:57, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
I reply here above to not give you more work ;) - Please indent according to the essay at User talk:Drmies. - You don't have to do anything. German or not, there's a bulk of writing within the image, and it could be quoted and translated, but where would that be? I saw it quoted somewhere, and forgot where ... (The bot is not dumb, can probably overlook lines below the approval.) - The rest is just ranting a bit. LouisAlain was my best helper until he was banned by "the community".--Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:30, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you are asking for anything here? Is there anything I can do? I cannot research those articles as I cannot read German.
for bot. Storye book (talk) 16:31, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
You, Storye book, or anybody else, please move the template on this page from where it is to special occasions, creating space for 6 February. I am not allowed. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 00:02, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
