- Date and length of the article are OK, well sourced, no copyright issues, QPQ done. I am having a bit of an issue with sourcing of the hook. The source you cite above [2] does support the fact that came to Mayo Clinic in 1907 as an assistant in pathology. However, the relevant sentence in the article "Balfour joined the Mayo brothers' practice in Rochester, Minnesota, in 1907, initially as a pathology assistant" is referenced to two other sources, which provide confusing information on the matter. The second of them [3], says that "He came to Rochester as an assistant in pathology in 1907" but also, several sentences above, that he was "a member of the staff of the Mayo Clinic from 1909 to 1947". That makes it unclear what his employment status was from 1907 to 1909. The second source cited in the article [4] just says that he "began the practice of medicine at the Mayo clinic in 1907". If you want to keep the hook as is, I think the cite to [5] at that sentence in the article would need to be replaced by a cite to [6]. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 13:49, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Nsk92: Thanks for the review. I think the source of confusion is that sources differ on when the clinic run by the Mayo brothers became "the Mayo Clinic" proper. In any case, I have switched the citations as you suggested; the source that supports the hook is from the Mayo Clinic's own journal so I think it's trustworthy. 97198 (talk) 08:39, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
- @97198: OK, very good thanks. I took another look at the article and mostly everything looks OK. However, the statement in the lede "and is recognized as one of its co-founders" needs to be sourced, particularly since this statement does not occur later in the article.
