Overall: Thank you for an intriguing article - I think we all want full details of the objectionable bit of the plot now. With photographs. (joke). Just a couple of issues: (1) The first paragraph of the History section needs a citation at the end, and the Roles section needs citations. (2) According to the article, Stephan completed his composition in 1914, and the poetry performance was banned in 1912. So that would make ALT0 untrue. However, if you would like to change the hook's wording to something like "Die ersten Menschen was already being composed as an opera by Rudi Stephan" or "Rudi Stephan was already composing the opera Die ersten Menschen", that would match the article's information.   • (Not my article and I'm new to DYK so please let me know of any etiquette violations.) I went ahead and added citation to the first paragraph, it was easily found amongst the existing refs. As suggested,

I have paragraphed your comment, to make ALT1 clear for admin. There is still no citation in the Roles section - any chance you could please help us there, too?     @Gerda Arendt: Hope you had a great holiday! The fact of what part (bass, tenor, alto, sop, whatever) each protagonist sings is not plot - they should be citable. Can't you just cite the score? That should cover it, and we can leave the line about expulsion and spring uncited. Storye book (talk) 11:28, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
