Burevestnik (Petrograd, 1917), Burevestnik (1906) edit

Created by Soman (talk). Self nominated at 04:38, 13 January 2014 (UTC).

  • - Burevestnik (Paris) is long enough and new enough at the time of nomination. Just over 1500 characters. Hook is supported by this source. Burevestnik (Petrograd) is long enough and new enough at the time of nomination. Not sure how to deal with the source used in this second article to support the hook. It doesn't explicitly state that the name of the newspaper was inspired by the poem. It is understood, yes, but not explicitly stated anywhere. EagerToddler39 (talk) 21:45, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
  • What the source says is that the euphenism of 'Burevestnik' in Russian began with the poem and that 'newspapers' (in plural) were named after it, it is a bit of a stretch but I think it is within the boundaries of DYK sourcing. --Soman (talk) 19:31, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • As you said it "is a bit of a stretch" so I wouldn't include the second article in the hook. It is not confirmed by the source and therefore not verifiable. Also your QPQ at Template:Did you know nominations/Stefania evansi is incomplete. You did a review 12 days ago and it has still not being promoted perhaps because you failed to include the appropriate symbol for the promoter to know how to proceed. How about ALT2: ... that Russian anarchist periodicals named Burevestnik ("Petrel") include a 1906 Paris publication and a 1917 Petrograd newspaper? --Soman (talk) 03:47, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

  • ALT2 hook needs reviewing; original hook struck due to issues noted above. QPQ status should be checked. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:40, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Both articles are long enough and new enough. QPQs are done. Both articles are amply footnoted; I don't see copyvios. The ALT2 hook is supported by a cited source and is inherent in the articles. However, it's a peculiar hook. I suggest separate hooks for the two articles; I believe both are supported:
  • I like Orlady's idea to split the hooks, and her hook suggestions are excellent. I moved the first article to its own template, Template:Did you know nominations/Burevestnik (1906), and adjusted the credits. Both hook refs are verified and cited inline. Everything else checks out per Orlady's review. I removed some close paraphrasing on this line in the article, so I'm changing "seize homes" to "appropriate homes for themselves" in the hook. ALT4 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 18:06, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
