  • Comment: QPQ pending. Javier Espinoza (talk) 21:45, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
  • @Jaespinoza: I would like to point out that you will need eight QPQs for this eight-article nomination, instead of just one. Pppery 22:47, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
  • @Pppery: I'm aware of that, it will be a hard job. I will be posting my reviews as they come. Thank you. Javier Espinoza (talk) 00:00, 15 October 2016 (UTC)

  • Everything now checks out.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 00:44, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
    • Pulled as per this discussion. Concerns are some lack of referencing and identical text. This is too complex to have an 8 hour deadline so have halted things until addressed. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 21:44, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
      • To elaborate: only one of the four Ariel award articles (Best Actress) has sufficient original prose to qualify, as content duplicated between articles doesn't count. I haven't checked for other issues but The Rambling Man mentioned lack of citations in filmographies in the linked discussion. 23:41, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
@Casliber: Can you tell me how much I need to expand? .Javier Espinoza (talk) 02:49, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
I haven't looked, it was Nikkimaria so you might want to ping her. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 04:32, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
@Nikkimaria: Hello. Can you tell me how much I need to expand? Thank you. Javier Espinoza (talk) 04:40, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Best Supporting Actor is at around 800 characters, Best Actress is around 2000 and per the above needs to be more, Best Supporting Actress is around 550, Best Actor is around 650. Nikkimaria (talk) 14:55, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Since this has been pulled, superseding the tick with a more accurate icon for the nomination's current state. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:09, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Best Actor is still sitting around 1000, Best Actress doesn't appear to have been expanded at all. Nikkimaria (talk) 18:12, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Hello. I will check about the Best Actor list, but I do not understand why I have to expand the Best Actress article, since that is the one you are using as reference for having enough original prose, as stated on a commentary in October 28, when this multiple DYK was pulled from queue?. Javier Espinoza (talk) 17:56, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
  • I had mistakenly assumed that all of the articles were new, but that one is not - it needs to be 5 times larger than its pre-expansion size, not simply 1500 characters as required for new articles. Nikkimaria (talk) 03:58, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
I have been reading the lead section of the Best Actress list and I can not find anything relevant to add, maybe I should pull that one out from the original hook. Any suggestions? Javier Espinoza (talk) 08:39, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Javier Espinoza, we can unbold the link for any article that doesn't qualify without changing the hook, so that could be done with Best Actress. I don't see any edits to expand Best Actor by the necessary 500 prose characters as noted by Nikkimaria two weeks ago; what are your plans with that article? (If necessary, that link can be unbolded as well.) Please let us know. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:23, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Given the time that has passed, a reviewer is needed to make sure the remaining six articles still qualify (the four actor articles and the supporting actor/actress articles) and all the hook facts can be found without recourse to the two articles that have been dropped (best actor and best actress). Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:12, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
  • [1 of 6 needed] Marco Pérez was new enough and is long enough. The problem is that I cannot find that any of the existing sources on the sentence for the hook facts actually say straight up that Marco Pérez won that award. We know he did. I've filled that gap for that article by adding a source that just straight up lists the winners. I don't have time to look at the rest right now but the source I added ([2]) should make for a quick fix for any problems of that variety as it is a straight-up list. Raymie (tc) 07:27, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Raymie, thanks for checking what you could, but we can't have the tick active until the entire hook is approved, not just one of the six articles. I hope you'll be able to finish the review soon. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:01, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Alright, I just removed that. Sofía Espinosa is fine (the existing sources already said she won that award). I'm working on Noé Hernández where some more copyediting was needed. Raymie (tc) 18:40, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
  • @BlueMoonset: I've also given each a copyedit. The problem is mostly Spanish translation that's not idiomatic in English. There are some broken source links, but I believe that is because Organización Editorial Mexicana decided to revamp its sites after years on end with the same template, which will break thousands of sources across the encyclopedia — and having used OEM articles before to write articles, I believe this to be a very recent change that occurred after nomination. All the articles were new enough and long enough. I need a citation on the third paragraph of the Best Supporting Actor article and one on the third paragraph of the Best Supporting Actress article to clear those. The other four are ready. Raymie (tc) 19:10, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Hello. I added a reference for the 2016 winners of the award, the same that the reviewer added on the other articles (thank you, Raymie), I will check for refs to fix the OEM broken links. Javier Espinoza (talk) 22:20, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Raymie, how are those two new cites? And would you prefer to wait for the broken ref links to be fixed prior to final approval here or not? BlueMoonset (talk) 00:11, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
  • They're perfect, and I don't mind the broken ref links because that was out of the creator's control and they don't affect the hook. I am not sure if OEM has the articles in their new template or something (I can't find the one I went looking for, so that does not bode well as literally years of OEM articles may have been removed from the web) but they all redirect to a new-looking page on the oem.com.mx domain and the individual papers' sites have all been redone. (The OEM sites were really out of date prior to the changeover.) I did have to fix the gender on "Adriana Paz is the most recent winner in this category for his role in Hilda" but coming from Spanish, I totally see how that one came about. (I primarily contribute on Mexico topics myself and learned Spanish some years ago.) I can now award a well-earned for these six articles. Raymie (tc) 03:02, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
