Created Jan. 26,nom Feb. 2/new enough. 1594 char/long enough. Neutral. Cited. No apparent copyvio. No image with nomination. QPQ done. Hook at 177 char under maximum. Bayreuther-festspiele source confirms that she was in Strauss's Arabella but does not mention the role. The Bach Cantatas site confirms she was in the premier of Reimann's La Casa de Bernarda Alba but doesn't say it was "a leading role", rather says it was the title role, which I believe is probably more prestigious? I am not sure if you wish to propose an ALT with corrections or provide additional sourcing to confirm the role for the first part of the hook. However, even if you don't choose to change the hook, the citation for the Reimann part of the hook is not at the end of the sentence making the claim, which is a DYK rule. - Thanks for looking into this, and how deeply. The Munich opera ref has Zdenka, will check. The title role of the Reimann would be "La Casa" which means the house, I found that too funny and tried "leading" instead, but perhaps it isn't even ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:50, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, I looked. Both parts are in the ref named Munich, last line of the top para. The opera seems to have a German title, I fixed that. She sang Adela, the youngest daughter of old Bernarda, - I linked to the play for those who want to find out. - Zdenka is perhaps the most interesting character in the Strauss opera, Arabella's sister who is dressed as a boy, because the parents try to find a husband for one daughter (Arabella) and can't afford to "offer" the second also ... --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:09, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- LOL you crack me up. In English it would be Bernarda Alba's House, which would explain why they said it was the title role but now I will never be able to look at this without having the picture of a singing house in my mind's eye. SusunW (talk) 22:10, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
