Language
editMost of the members of the Zobel de Ayala Family are or have been polyglots, traditionally having Spanish, but more recently English as their mother language.
Ability to speak Spanish and English hardly qualifies as being a polyglots. Bilingual is a more appropriate term.
Here's an article about Polyglotism - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyglot — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.54.172.66 (talk) 19:12, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- I agree. We cannot call them polyglots jsut because they speak Spanish, Egnglish and tagalog. By that misguided logic, literally everyone in India would be called a polyglot as most Indians speak at least 2 and often 3 languages (English, Hindi and their mother tongue). Similarly we would have to call a large number of Singaporeans polyglots as they speak at least 2 languages (English and either Malay or Mandarin or Tamil). Alba de Bourbon?
editThis needs justification or a source: "They are 4th cousins to the present Duchess of Alba de Bourbon in Madrid, the most titled woman of Spain and a prime mover of the Spanish Society." There is no Duchess of Alba de Bourbon. There was a Duchess of Alba. And how can the whole family be fourth cousins? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.147.173.17 (talk) 21:32, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
