I propose removing the military conflict infobox, as it does not adequately summarize the crisis from 2011 to present (for one thing, the Houthis and Saleh were on opposite sides in 2011, while Hadi and Saleh were on the same side; meanwhile, al-Ahmar was on the opposite side as Hadi and Saleh, which de facto put him on the same side as the Houthis) and it mischaracterizes the crisis itself as a military conflict, when the body of the article describes it as a political crisis. We have a perfectly good page and military conflict infobox for the Yemeni Civil War (2015), where it is appropriate. Any objections to this? -Kudzu1 (talk) 00:20, 15 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

After all, it's been going on for almost seven years and has grown and metastasized into one of the great tragedies of the 21st century. World War II, for instance, was several different wars between 1931 and 1941. The Yemen tragedy was something that started in 2011 and just continued to worsen. Maybe we can call it Yemeni Crises of the 2010s or something like that. give the series of articles a unityArglebargle79 (talk) 13:09, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
