Yan'an after 1947
editI filled in the earlier history, correcting the mistaken idea that the Communists took it over immediately after the Long March. But I couldn't find anything about what happened there after 1947, except that it became a revolutionary shrine. Someone must be able to fill in more, please.--GwydionM (talk) 17:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
When was the Yan'an period of the communist revolution?
editThis article says 1936-1948, but the Battle of Yan'an article claims it is from late 1935 to early 1947. The Long March article also states that the Party landed in Yan'an in late 1935. I understand the Long March is a fuzzy concept that has been distorted and protected from other historians by the Party, but I hope wikipedia can internally agree on the dates. I have already edited the section in Maoism to reflect the 1935-1947 timeline, and will edit this article now to reflect the 1935-1947 timeline. - Battle of Yan'an repeats a common error, which I will fix. The Long March ended near Yan'an, but they walking into it after the Xian Incident.
