Removed Defacements Again
editSomeone deleted both Xonotic commitment to Social Justice and the Early History section again; this has been restored. Xonotic was and is a leader in the fight against injustice. Xonotic has recently banned long-time contributors from contributing (MirceaKitsune) for their support of Child Sexual Abuse language on twitter. Showing a zero-tolerance policy for such views. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.186.202.104 (talk) 22:46, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Removed Defacements
editSomeone removed both the Early History section and the Social Justice section: attempting to censor Xonotic's rich and compelling history of Social Justice. These sections have been restored. Xonotic was the first Opensource project effectively with an Code of Conduct: infact an enforced one: unlike todays' projects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.186.192.196 (talk) 04:39, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- Please add citations for your claims in the Early History/Social Justice sections of this article as they seem now to be a defacement of the article without citations to the claims made in the sections. 2601:196:8701:3830:4851:B5A9:FBA4:A9BC (talk) 20:36, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
Social Justice Section
editXonotic was effectively an early adopter of Codes of Conduct: banning contributors with toxic viewpoints from the community. This was a full decade before the FSF finally did the same with Richard M. Stallman. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.35.195 (talk) 13:00, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Early History Section
editAn Early History section has been added to better explain the minuits behind the fork of Nexuiz. Since divVerent has effectively fled the project I doubt he'll notice enough to object. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.34.150 (talk) 12:35, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
MikeeUSA Defacement
editThe page has been "defaced" by MikeeUSA: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Xonotic&diff=609115351&oldid=592182879
Undid that, and the typo fixes afterwards, by eliminating the entire section.

It's just another point of view on how the fork went down. Yes, the IllFonic situation was the final straw, but there was pressure from before then. Especially with the weapons removal LH did. A fork was needed once that happened. Well atleast it's linked here if anyone want's to know another version of history. Samual does drive away people with his dictatorial manner, on the xon forum he's seen as pretty much having taken over the project. He aways says "No" to new code commits from other people it seems aswell. (I originally assumed Samual removed the alternative history. I hope Samual read the history, and read it good, and got steamed (as is tradition))

- What I think should be changed: Current release version
- Why it should be changed: Bump from 0.8.2 to 0.8.5
- References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): [1]
Platforms
editI think the Platforms list should be changed to something like Unix-like, POSIX or similar. Xonotic like Quake 2/DarkPlaces works on a lot of systems. Alternatively for examples the BSDs should all be added. I'd assume probably a lot of Unix variants as well. Athaba (talk) 01:08, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
