COI disclosure: I'd like to disclose that I am editing this article on behalf of WorldWinner and GSN Games. I appreciate the community's feedback and hope you'll find that the proposed edits make the article more accurate, informative, and encycolpedic, adding objective understanding and knowledge for readers.

This article had not been significantly updated since 2007. Several edits (listed below) are janitorial cleanup, and I've corrected formerly inaccurate information (the headquarter location, for example). Note: Exluding the charitable donations section, all citations previously existed in the original article.

Additionally, this article was previously one section, mostly containing brief company history up until 2007. I have organized it into sections and made the following updates:

Infobox/general: Name is not WorldWinner.com, just WorldWinner. Added cateogies to reflect mobile app product. "Fate" only reflects history up until 2007. Headquarters is no longer Newton, MA. Added website information.

Intro: WorldWinner is no longer just www.worldwinner.com; the company has an iOS app so I've noted this and listed some current game titles in an objective tone.

History: Added information past 2007: WorldWinner rebranded to GSN Cash Games in 2013. Launch of mobile web offering. 2017 rebrand back to WorldWinner and launch of iOS app.

Cash Tournament Model: Added further detail to make this article more informative and increase reader understanding of cash tournament concepts.

Games: Added this section to inform reader of current portfolio. Game titles are presented in a basic list. No promotional language.

  • Add company logo to infobox. (file attached).
  • I'd like to cite the following statement, however the link does not process properly. Any assistance would be appreciated.

During that time, Saidakovsky, Ganelis, and Utin obtained a patent for their tournament technology. Source to link to: https://www.google.com/patents/US6604997

  • Prizing information added to Intro as a new sentence after "Tetris Burst." :

Since launch, WorldWinner has prized out more than $1.5 billion in online tournaments, averaging more than $250,000 in daily cash prizes. This statement has been vetted by our legal team.

Thank you for your consideration.

Owing to a failure to pay the maintenance fee, this patent is expired — effective 12-AUG-2007. Spintendo ᔦᔭ 23:54, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
The Google source is not the best to use. Google uses approximate formatting for the documents (and I use that term lightly). Google gives you 5 pages of the charted information at the beginning, but then approximates the rest of the text from the following 10 pages. Documents end mid-sentence, columns of text are shown bunched together along with areas of clear space, and text is pushed to the margins away from headers which place the information in context. It's a jumble to read. The original source for the information, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, should be used. It's the same information, only you wont go insane trying to read it. They have clear pdf scans of the original documents, just like Google does — but it resides on the USPTO website, which is more authoritative than documents stored on Google. As far as the patent expiration, I have no clue what that means for inclusion of it in the article. Ostensibly it doesnt need to be valid, just to be included.
