Maybe the correct form "outrageous" would be more relevant to be included than "outragious." (I guess the present figure refers to the misspelled form, isn't it?) Adam78 13:15, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Frequency lists are a necessary prerequisite for building of an electronic dictionary" - hardly. You can build one in many ways without frequency lists. The sentence is poor English anyway (if something is a prerequisite, then by definition it is necessary). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.236.94 (talk) 06:44, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Word lists by frequency. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

I assume that most people come to this page looking for links to word frequency lists, not for a huge discussion of such lists. There should be a front section giving links for the major languages, leaving the discussion of such lists (which most people don't actually come here looking for) to later sections.

Hello there,
First, wikipedia is an Encyclopedia, whom's mission is to explain things. So the article should focus on explaining more these studies and impacts.
Secondly, yes, we still can provide pointers (links) to results, aka raw data or word list. There is now a few solid key studies : worldlex, unilex, which provide dozens of lists.
So yes, every volunteers around is encouraged to improve this article in these 2 aspects, and in any given way deemed suitable (style, other scientific findings, etc). Yug (talk) 12:33, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
