I undid the change regarding the influx of African American voters. The article may need some editing in this respect but removing the reference all together is not a good solution. It is not un-factual that there was a very large influx of African American voters in Baton Rouge after Katrina. The voter demographics continue to change and will be in flux for a number of years as candidates try to figure the new constituency. Anothersliceofhistory (talk) 01:05, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

The problem seems to be that there is irrelevant material here. What do his colonial origins have to do with anything? Much of this could be cut because of irrelevance. It reads as the most glamorous biography, in the worst of southern romantic styles. Baronplantagenet 02:22, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

For such a relatively minor player in the Louisiana politics game, Jenkins has an extensive entry, unwarranted by his actual accomplishments. For instance, most modern Governors of the state have much briefer biographies, free of the frivolous information contained in Jenkins'. It's been added, removed, added, removed, added, rewriten, digested through a yak's bowel, and removed again. I'm personally somewhat neutral on it because I don't know enough about it to deem it's noteworthyness... perhaps I'll figure it out andaddit at some point. Or his pro-David Duke days back at LSU for that matter. Has anyone ever checked out old copies of "The Reveille?" He wrote some stuff back then that would kill his career if it ever came out to public knowledge.

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the claim that Woody's wife and brother-in-law got millions by serving on the board of directors for one of Woody's charities? After watching months of campaign advertisements, I can only conclude that Woody Jenkins must be the most bigoted, racist, sexist, hate-mongering individual to ever walk the face of the earth. His attacks on Cazayoux via Obama and Pelosi are some of the most thinly veiled hate speech to ever disgrace the airwaves. Louisiana deserves better than an Amway candidate. If Woody gets elected, I honestly pity the state, since all the positives gains made through Jindal are now thrown to the wayside. It will be interesting to see how Woody is judged for all of his hateful actions and words he's said under the guise of politics or religion. His editorials for his "newspapers" (I use the term loosely, since it's pretty much a rag) just show how racist and bigoted he is. I remember my days as an LSU undergrad in the late 80's and early 90's. I am pretty sure there was a photo in the Baton Rouge newspaper, The Advocate, of rabid Woody holding a fetus doll in one of his many neo-fascist campaign rants. The fetus doll was a recurring prop for Woody's public appearances.
