alcoholism

edit

just finished the book. it is ridiculously bad considering such a great premise. but with regards to this article. I don't recall alcohol being mentioned at all much less as a prevailing character trait of one of the main protagonists. Heck his depression didn't really come up until the ghost of his ex shows up, but that's more likely bad writing than non-existent. removing alcoholism. I didn't notice any reference to it either but people kept adding it so I stopped removing it. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 12:49, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was mentioned that Whit was drinking at a time. [I'm not sure if this is a source, but] On page 46, it is stated "We're aware of your drinking problems, Whitford."74.96.31.57 (talk) 21:56, 28 July 2010 (UTC)AnonymousReply

It refers to sports drinks, I'm fairly certain, along the lines of red bull. Not alcohol. 64.203.212.177 (talk) 01:26, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please try reading the book again. In the beginning it mentions a few times Whit being in a drunken stupor. To the point it was wondered if he was sober enough to defend himself from the soldiers when they were first taken. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.189.184.177 (talk) 23:58, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

In the book it states that he has a drinking problem and it talks about him being drunk, but also in the second book of the series it talks about Whit's alcoholism, and how he recognizes the smell of alcohol and how its something he's very familiar with. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joseagramendez (talkcontribs) 04:23, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

plot summary

edit

The plot summary is excessive. The point of a plot summary is to briefly sketch the outlines of what happens in a book, rather than to recount it in excruciating detail, particularly where the book is recent, rather than a literary classic that has been subject to considerable detailed analysis at that level. In the case of this kind of short novel, it shouldn't run more than a few short paragraphs. 23:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ohwilleke (talkcontribs)
