This man wrote so many good novels. I really feel a list should be made of them!

Perhaps I will embark on this task as I really feel he warrants more recognition. I don't think he should be permanently saddled as the creator of Poldark!Luckyles 21:21, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't : Spouse Jean Mary Williamson (1939-1992) be: Spouse Jean Mary Williamson (1913-1992)

According to the text she was 13 when he met her in 1926, right? Hans

re the spouse: there was text stating that his wife survived him, and linking to a Jean Williamson Graham. This is clearly another Jean Williamson given that all the sources confirm the Jean Williamson who was his wife died in 1992. I have therefore deleted it, but if anyone thinks it was correct they can of course reinstate it with a citation.Johnstoo (talk) 19:47, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Two points about Graham's wife: the dates 1939-1992 presumably show the time she was married to Graham (from the date of the marriage up to her death, not from her DoB). And the link in the info-box is clearly to someone else. I'll delete the link part. Thomas Peardew (talk) 09:54, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Possible copyright issue edit

The first few paragraphs are the same as on http://www.panmacmillan.com/author/winstongraham but which came first? --EleriWall (talk) 21:06, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ross Poldark abridged? edit

A review on amazon.uk says that 'some extracts from the first edition of this book have been cut from subsequent editions'. Can anyone confirm or deny?

If true, perhaps this information should go in this article, since the book hasn't got an article of its own. Paul Magnussen (talk) 19:02, 10 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Name at Birth and Deed Poll edit

It's not entirely clear if his birth name was just "Winston Grime" or "Winston Mawdsley Grime": see https://winstongraham.yolasite.com/resources/Name.pdf The entry in the census of 1911 has the shorter version, while, interestingly, the notice in the London Gazette dated 6 June 1947 has the longer one, and states that from then on his surname would be "Mawdsley Graham". My earlier comment was edited today by an anonymous user. While I am grateful for correcting the dead link, it's not usually regarded as correct (and may be contrary to Wiki rules) to edit someone else's comment on the Talk pages. Thomas Peardew (talk) 13:05, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

War service edit

From the article, it seems he didn't serve in WW2. If not, why not? 86.139.247.14 (talk) 07:30, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

He was in the auxiliary coastguard. DuncanHill (talk) 12:10, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
