Unsourced statements/vandalism edit

Whilst I am not necessarily a fan of Mr McKay I feel that the comment on his transfer dealing and the wish that he "rotes (sic) in hell" isn't appropriate.

Indeed. It was simple vandalism and had already been removed. Rockpocket 17:31, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the statement “Mckay was arrested on 28th November 2007 on suspicion of corruption in football.” because it's completely uncorroborated Nevalicori (talk) 13:00, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removed the statement: "After 2 years of battling to save his name With constant pressure by HMRC and City of London police Mckay found it very difficult to build back his very successful business Mckay put it on Record that the constant obstacles HMRC put in front of him blamed A unending persecution from an unknown at the very top of the HMRC is still continuing till this day ." Not only is the grammar atrocious, it is completely uncorroborated and unsourced. MiasmaJones (talk) 01:00, 24 January 2019 (GMT)

Wikipedia - Honest edit

Since when has Wikipedia got to be honest? It is a web encyclopedia, while encyclopedia's must contain facts their is also nothing against them containing opinions. The opinion that 'McKay should rot in hell' is a valid one as their is not a written law against it. I'd also like to add that it is to the discretion of the webmaster what he considers vandalism and is in no way up to the viewers of this page. The most likely reason this page is being looked up is because he has annoyed association football supporters. Another thing real life encyclopedia's will not have Willie McKay's name in.

It's a pity Wikipedia can't take submissions in crayon, too. --89.211.214.42 (talk) 13:17, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Willie McKay is NOT an agent edit

Although he is still acting as an agent using his son Mark who is a registered agent (“intermediary”), Willie McKay is NOT an agent. See for instance Willie McKay is not an agent, so why was he working on Emiliano Sala deal?. The article should be modified--Df (talk) 08:17, 25 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

“Emiliano, My name is Willie McKay …. We are not interested in looking after your personal interests.” A good time, you’d think, to stop reading. McKay tells Sala that agents such as himself “only care about money” and encourages the player to cut his current agent Meïssa N’Diaye out of any deal, while dangling a £1m payment to Sala’s mother under his nose.

He admits to misleading the media about transfer interest from West Ham and Everton. In a horrible little touch he seems obsessed with planes generally: “We take our plane get clubs in it ... they will fly you over in their jet ... Cardiff can have a jet for you tonight or tomorrow.”
