- I agree. The ripping and pasting of complete texts from other pages has been a problem on Wikipedia. I reverted the entire thing to the last article written by Wiki users instead of the one stolen from another website. -Husnock 16:29, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Pelham edit

I presume you mean Yorkshire! Is there any evidence that he was related to the aristocratic family mentioned in the text, other than sharing an unusual surname? My mother was a Yarborough from Yorkshire, and as a child I remember her telling me the same story, but I can find no evidence that she was related to the aristocrats. House of Yarborough claim edit

- That is a pretty neat textbook that you found, quite amazing stuff actually. The original source that *I* used though was Arlington National Cemetery. I did not knowingly insert anything I thought to be false or fake. I agree it should be removed though until we get this sorted out. The article on his ancestor Eustacius de Yerburgh is under full scale deletion debate right now. -OberRanks (talk) 17:57, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have any doubt that you thought it was all genuine. That's an ongoing problem, and as was noted on the AfD page, there was a lot of this going on in the 19th century, and a lot of people believe in things that are Victorian fakes.
