The section "Film, TV or theatrical adaptations" should be updated to mention the version aired on PBS in the United States on Sunday, 26 July 2009. Actually, version hardly seems the right word. It departed from the original about as far as possible, with the inclusion of Miss Marple being one of the more unimportant differences. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.252.133.34 (talk) 03:08, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, do it then!--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 13:52, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, in a way the Marple version doesn't "lose the plot" so much as some others - "Sittaford" and "Nemesis", for instance. What it does do is relentlessly dismantle the central misdirection, that Evans turns out to be a woman. Funnily enough, it starts by contributing quite a nice little misdirection of its own, when Bobby responds to the title question with "Ask him what?" Later it adds a thumping great male Evans. Though there is nothing unlikely about two people named Evans having passed through the same house, this is beating the misdirection over the head. Finally, the script goes out of its way to insist that 'Evans' was known as Florrie, and not by her surname. Why should Carstairs, a visitor (Alex Carstairs in the book, incidentally - see article) know her or think of her as 'Evans'? His question means why didn't they do the obvious - why then should he use 'Evans' for a servant known as Florrie, rather than a hanger-on everyone knows by his surname? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.10.145.63 (talk) 15:39, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

In the section entitled "2008 television adaptation," the actor Freddie Fox is listed as playing the role of Tom Savage. Unfortunately, the link takes you to an article about a dead English football player of the same name. I don't know how to fix it or I would. Maybe someone else can? This has been corrected, and the name Freddie Fox in the Adaptations section points to the article about Freddie Fox (actor). -- Prairieplant (talk) 00:05, 20 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
