No more edit

This article needs to be deleted as there has now been an official announcement saying that it is not going to be released as a single EVER. Information can be found at http://forums.coldplay.com/viewtopic.php?t=60642. Sorry people

Lyrics removed edit

I removed the song lyrics as they are a copyright violation. --Typobox43 00:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deletion edit

I nominated this article for deletion as the song is not notable enough for its own article; its release as a single in just one country being the only thing that differs it from other X&Y songs that don't have articles.

Not to mention "What If", which had a much broader release than "White Shadows" has had its article removed, so it doesn't make sense keeping this one too. 220.235.120.207 (talk) 09:04, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Both this and the "What If" article should be created and kept - that should be a natural given. If there is enough information to write a decent length article like this one on it then there should be no problem. The songs' significance is justified by the fact of their release. Leave edit

Keep the page. It has good information and WAS released as a single in more than one country (i'm preety sure), and if not, make it a song page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Das Ansehnlisch (talkcontribs) 21:08, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image edit

Is that artwork official? The only source is a fansite, and the only similar images in a Google image search for "coldplay white shadows" are this same image used on different websites. By comparison, "coldplay speed of sound", "coldplay talk", "coldplay fix you", "coldplay the hardest part" and even "coldplay what if" show various versions and qualities of their respective cover images. It's also incredibly easy to create X&Y-esque covers using the alphabet given in the album, as shown here, which leads me to believe this is fanmade. -- I need a name (talk) 00:16, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was used on Swisscharts.com so that lead me to belive that it was official....--White Shadows you're breaking up 00:18, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry because I'm a completly Coldplay fan, but the cover art is a fanmade [1] --87.218.192.19 (talk) 21:27, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've seen that but other single covers (Lovers in Japan for instance) only have one form of art and are totaly digital. Does that mean that it's fanmade as well?--White Shadows you're breaking up 21:34, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
The Lovers in Japan artwork is from the official Coldplay website. It's also used on the promo CDs, as seen here, here, here and here. -- I need a name (talk) 22:15, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delete? edit

I don't see why you'd delete a page because it isn't significant. If it were up to me, every song would have it's own page. Krytton ( ) 07:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Brian Eno - A Clarification edit

Having checked the sleeve notes of my copy of X&Y, I've noticed that Brian Eno is credited for playing additional synthesisers on track Y3 - this is referring to the track Low (track 9 if conventional numbers are used), not White Shadows, which is track X3 - this section should thus be removed as Eno did not contribute to this song. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonny Whizz (talkcontribs) 17:12, 16 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
