This jurisdiction is now called "West Kelowna" as of the 2008 municipal elections... I don't know how to change the title and whatnot though. 24.70.210.156 (talk) 22:43, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The title change can be made easily enough, but just to confirm - the part of what is now incorporated as Westside, British Columbia that used to be Westbank is now renamed "West Kelowna"? And not the whole of Westside, but only the part that used to be Wetbank? If that's the case, glad to do the change and the necessary textual tweaking; would help if you can point me to a webpage/citation for that.Skookum1 (talk) 13:27, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Westbank, British ColumbiaWestbankMOS:CA#Places, there should not be disambiguation if not necessary. The title "Westbank" redirects here. TBrandley 22:49, 31 March 2013 (UTC) TBrandley 22:49, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose Westbank should redirect to West Bank (disambiguation) as {{R from alternate spelling}} or West Bank as {{R from mispelling}}. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 03:51, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose I agree with that objection by the IP user above, "Westbank" should clearly go to a disambig. In the case of stripping the comma-province off it, that's usually done on Canadian cities for which there is no disputable alternate meaning; here I'd say there would be because of West Bank and no doubt other geographic usages around the globe........this is also a neighbourhood of West Kelowna now and was its own post office for a long time, the comma-province should remain, or comma-city Westbank, West Kelowna seems a bit odd; and Westbank as a place name I think includes non-city areas on the Indian Reserves there.Skookum1 (talk) 06:29, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - too easy for West Bank to be misspelled as Westbank. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:43, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
