Weaubleau Structure Edits
Untitled
editThe Weaubleau-Osceola structure page needs some major edits. I have completed some of those edits today as it is currently known as the Weaubleau structure. The title needs to be changed and I will post in the appropriate forums to make sure the support is there. I would like to do a complete rewrite of the article in the future when I get more time. A lot of information is missing that has been published over the last few years. I understand why with the cost of the journals and articles. If there is anything specific anyone would like to see added please let me know. I will try to be as thorough as possible but I may still forget or overlook something.
Some issues I plan on addressing are: 38th parallel structures, serial impact hypothesis, breccias, age, and round rocks. I may included some information on local target lithology and a model for the formation of the structure. That last bit may have to wait for publication.--Userkv8031 (talk) 14:47, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was moved to Weaubleau structure. --BDD (talk) 22:08, 6 December 2012 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
Weaubleau-Osceola structure → Weaubleau Structure – This impact structure is now referred to in literature as the Weaubleau Structure. This is a move to reflect current literature and naming conventions. Below are links to published abstracts that refer to the Weaubleau Structure.--Userkv8031 (talk) 05:08, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose the capitalization of Structure, which is not supported by the sources you linked, nor by books such as this one. Otherwise OK. Dicklyon (talk) 00:08, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
