This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Washington United for Marriage is the leading coalition now working to pass marriage equality in Washington. The campaign is a registered organization, and is a coalition of many of the largest organizations both nationally and statewide concerned with securing equality for Washington's gay and lesbian families. I'm diligently working to build the page further, including the addition of an infobox, categories, and cross links from other articles. The organization's homepage is hereLekoman (talk) 06:55, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please read Wikipedia's guidelines on notability. These outline how you establish the notability of an organization on Wikipedia. If you can find proper sources that show how Washington United for Marriage meets the guidelines (and add those sources to the article), then it will not be deleted. Thanks, I will. I'll be citing some articles from the SeattlePI and Seattle Times shortly that establish notability. Working on it now. - Lekoman (talk) 07:11, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I welcome your feedback on the present edits and those I'll continue to make. I'm sincere in wanting to see this article meet standards, and my belief that it is a notable subject. - Lekoman (talk) 07:57, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Its vastly improved. The references to the Seattle newspapers establish notability in my opinion, so I have removed the proposed deletion notice. Thanks for adding a good article to Wikipedia. Best, Sparthorse (talk) 08:24, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
