As far as I know, the sole publication to chronicle the early WNO is Jim McPherson's article. It in turn relies heavily on contemporary press coverage in the Washington newspapers. The article is far more colorful--and extensive--than my distillation, well worth searching out and reading in its entirety. Drhoehl (talk) 00:23, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
