"[From] Bath ... The balloon was carried over Somerset to Exeter and then into Dorset. The crew tried to descend near Bridport" This seems pretty odd to me - the ballooon was travelling in a south-westerly direction as far as Exeter, and then goes almost due eastwards to Bridport? Really?? The meterological conditions to have caused a sudden 135 degree switch in wind direction from southwestwards to eastwards seems highly unlikely. 86.133.211.42 (talk) 16:29, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not worthy of comment in the main article, but perhaps of interest to a passing researcher, might be an auction, by Messrs Christie, Manson & Woods, on 20 June 1883

30 Dozens of Sherry, Pale Bristol Milk, and Vino de Pasto, bottled in 1869; 230 Dozens of Port, of the Vintages of 1847, 1851, 1858, 1861, and 1863; 9 Dozens of Choice Old Madeira; 185 Dozen Bottles and 50 Dozen Magnums of Claret, Chateau Lafite of 1862 and 1865, Chateau Margaux of 1870, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild of 1865 and 1870, Chateau Leoville-Barton of 1864, 1870, 1874, and 1878, Chateau Leoville-Lascazes of 1864, Chateau Palmer of 1870 and Chateau Latour-Carnet of 1862;
The whole of the Wines (excepting the 1862 and 1865 Clarets and Madeira, Imported by the late Mr Thomas Powell), were supplied by Messrs. John Harvey and Sons of Bristol
