FCC Decision?
editI added a "citation needed" tag to the line about the FCC deciding that the eastern U.P. was part of the Cadillac/T.C. market. Unless I'm wrong (and this Wiki on Media Markets is wrong as well), the FCC doesn't involve itself with defining market boundaries. Anyone confirm or deny? Benscripps 04:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
The FCC uses Nielsen's Designated Market Areas as a guide toward regulating stations, cable and audiance coverage. It used to use Arbitron's ADI (Area of Dominate Influence) as a guideline. Nielsen uses population numbers to redefine the markets every 3 years. (I can only imagine if the FCC drew the DMA boundries that they might look very much like a congressional district map.) But the FCC can determine how a station will operate within a DMA. Cadilac, Soo, Traverse City stations are required witin the market to have a retransmiter to be fully counted.173.111.9.52 (talk) 23:02, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Goetzville
editI'm not sure why, but someone keeps changing the spelling of Goetzville on the WWTV page to "Gatesville". Yes, the name is pronounced Gatesville, but it is most definitely spelled "Goetzville". Please stop changing it.Benscripps (talk) 17:26, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

9&10 News has long been one of the most technologically advanced small-market television stations in the country. Legend has it that when the station broadcasted in color for the first time, CBS was jealous because 9&10's color picture was of higher quality than the rest of the network. Under Iacobelli's ownership, the station has frequently made commercials that many claim to have the look and feel of Detroit-based stations.
