107.9 WIRK was one of the nations first Country music FM's, debuting in September of 1973.

Today, WIRK continues its tradition of playing contemporary country music with a sprinkling of our Country K Classics. Our air staff has been serving our community for many years with JD and The Wake Up Crew entertaining morning commuters for 8 years, Mitch Mahan mid-days for the past 5 years, JR Jackson afternoons, Dave Michaels at night at Tony Valentino overnights have each been with WIRK for 10 - 20 years!

WIRK is involved with several community events, both long standing and new. WIRK is a regular fixture at the South Florida Fair, Sunfest, Meet Me in Boca, Delray Affair and many other events. JD's Sneakers For Students has quickly taken a life of its own putting new shoes on the feet of kids in need at back to school time.

WIRK is proud to be a part of South Florida and steadfastly carries on the tradition of community service!
