editAfter 30 years, I still fondly remember WGTB as a source of good rock music. Whether it was "notorious" or not depends on your POV. I've edited the article just a little to even things out. --Phyllis1753 (talk) 18:49, 24 June 2008 (UTC) ---
This page does nothing to honor the legacy of what was arguably the very best alternative music station in the greater DC/Baltimore area. Say what you will about their political slant back in the day (or don't), but I cut my eye teeth on WGTB in the 70s and I cannot imagine what a desert my musical landscape would have been without it.

Date of Move Out of Copley Incorrect
editI was at WGTB from 89-93 serving as GM in 1992-93 and it was still in the basement of Copley through that whole time period so there is no way it moved to Leavey in 1989. I believe the move was in 96 based upon an article in the Georgetown Independent so have made the change.
