Sourcing problems
edit- Per WP:RSMUSIC - Sputnik Music is only usable when its done by "Staff" or "Emeritus" writers. Not users or contributors (which are basically just users who have done more reviews.)
- AllMusic is good for their band bios and staff reviews, but their versions of infoboxes are done by a separate company and are freqeuently wrong, so it's not preferred to be used. Considering there's no staff review, there's really no reason to have it here.
CC Elmidae and ferret, who have also had concerns judging by the page history. Sergecross73 msg me 13:06, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Seems a little disruptive for Sixty Minute Limit to keep restoring this, especially by adding a single (questionable) review after this exchange where he said he would work on it in sandbox until more sources developed. I'm tempted to revert and issue a warning. -- ferret (talk) 13:12, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
@Ferret: I only restored once, arguably two times, but the second time I kept the redirect. ~SML TP 13:27, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- The page history is clear, you created the article and then restored it twice when two separate editors questioned its notability. And as I said in my response on my talk page, a WP:DRAFT/Sandbox article is something you do instead of an article existing, not concurrently at the same time. Its where you work on stuff until its ready, and then make it be an article. It makes zero sense to revert a redirect and then work on a rough draft as well. Hmm. Didn't know about the issues with Sputnik Music. However, it seems that some stuff is coming together now - the Distorted Sound review [1] seems a reasonable source? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 14:55, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with the source, but it doesn't look to be outwardly unreliable at least. And the fact that Loudwire and Blabbermouth had articles about some of the songs means it probably is a notable album. It just really wasn't ready to be published into the mainspace in it initial iteration. Sergecross73 msg me 13:11, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- I’ll keep that in mind for the future, thanks. ~SML TP 13:15, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
