This Article is in Need of Revision edit

As it is, this article cites few sources and is written more as a narrative than an encyclopedia entry. Measures should be taken to correct both of these issues.

As a Wikipedian with a vested interest in raising the quality of articles about Soviet Firefighters involved in the Chernobyl Disaster, I am prepared to take measures towards these ends. However, I am presently working on a revised version of the article for Leonid Telyatnikov, and cannot begin work on this article until that project is completed. If anyone else is interested in becoming involved in work on articles about Chernobyl firefighters, and in cleaning up this article on Kibenok, I will be happy to help by sharing sources I have found.

As always, the goal is to relay factual truth and to avoid telling romantic stories about heroism in the face of the atom or horror stories about the harm that radioactivity can cause. Chernobyl articles can fall into these holes from time to time, as can the public understanding of the event. Thus the goal is to find facts that can lift both to a higher understanding, free of emotional coloring. If you'd like to help with this, feel free to reach out to me at talk page. I'd be glad to lend a hand.

Please would an interested editor assess the material added at User:CuriousQuail/subpage, incorporate what is useful, blank that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 09:39, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
