Untitled edit

Rennie is often maligned for a few blunders, but his numbers are actually consistent with his peers. For reasons that may appear obvious, he is singled out from his counterparts. Actual observations of many games will show that Mike Riley appears to make more mistakes than Uriah Rennie.

What has occurred is that Uriah Rennie is not recognized for much that he has actually accomplished. He was recently appointed to host a 120,000 attendance match in the Middle East, an honor not given to many.

Although he is still a pioneer, Uriah Rennie has opened the doors for others to referee in the Premiere League and continues to do a good job. 67.168.72.52 18:11, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

reasons that may appear obvious? is this the massive cock ups he makes in nearly all of the matches he officiates? Crabman123 18:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Expand/tidy-up edit

Did this to give a stronger lead-up to the facts already presented, also some new content added which is standard for referee articles, it seems. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 01:25, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Biographical conflict: Year first elected to Football League List edit

Hi. Primary source here says 1994, another equal source here says 1997. Based on first statistics filed for Uriah here (use drop-down menu to see ?-first season-?), I am going with 1997. If even more reliable quotable source says differently, please amend. Thanks. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 13:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

In actual fact, it turns out that he did get onto the Football League List in 1994 - 1997 was when he was given his first Premiership appointment, so I've changed the article to illustrate this. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 18:27, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rounders record edit

"Did you know that Uriah Rennie the FIFA Referee still holds the world record for bowling a rounders ball? the record is 64 miles per hour! and thats under arm bowling." [1] violet/riga (t) 15:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is the only source I can find for this, so I'm not entirely happy with including it just yet. violet/riga (t) 19:17, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
You could include it in the context "In the past, Uriah Rennie held....." to start with, which is not an untruth. Your source proves that fact through simple deduction. If you find a better source later, it could be edited to show that. ? Ref (chew)(do) 20:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trivia post edit

Hi. Recently removed from this talk page, one trivia post. If you really believe that the info is notable as regards Uriah, put it in the article - don't try to qualify it by association with its talk page (BTW, IMO the trivia certainly is not notable). Wikipedia talk pages are not for irrelevant discussions. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 18:08, 13 June 2007 (UTC) Withdrawn. Ref (chew)(do) 20:02, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

And I have replaced it as an invalid reason for removal. violet/riga (t) 19:12, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
